As long as you can defend your relationship with the person..and better if not in the same state with your school..and when vo is drilling you around the person you ensure you don't give impression that you are going to join the person. Then know every single detail about the person, the year he enters the state, his iterinary therefrom, if he has visited Nigeria , how many times, when last, his job information, year started, emolument, job position, company etc. And the person is very legal too... his status in the state...

It won’t work because there is details duplicate and the system is detecting it.
He will need to override it or contact then to solve the issues for him.

Is like he has profile on the site before or his details has been used before for joint or group interview.

The fact that you don't know what you did wrong makes it easy to dismiss you as an unserious student.

You clearly don't have a clue what course you were admitted for. Your school is a community college (2-year college), there is absolutely no way it offers pharmacy as a major. The major is pharmacy technology... basically, folks who assist store pharmacists take medication orders.

Also saying that you chose your course of study because of a promise you made to your dad makes your interview all the more silly.

Me: (comes in) in Nigeria here, any relatives from the husband side, wives do call them in-law. She is my first cousin, we share the same grandparents, my dad and her mum shared the same parent, we did our childhood together before she traveled.

THIS IS A MIRACLE AND GOD IN ACTION!!!

What I noticed is that, the information you filled on your DS-160 form has given them a picture of your profile, I think they’ve already concluded whether to issue or not before the interview, the interview is just for you to come and defend what you filled online, because We practiced over 30 questions but only these few was asked.

A big Thanks to this platform Nairaland, 2 months to our interview, my wife and I have been actively reading all pages of this thread day and night and all thanks to God it was worth it.

Please ask your questions here as they may help others.

1. Always say the truth at your interviews rather than what someone else thinks the VO wants to hear.

2. Always remember, the VO is American, they know how their educational system works. Any high school student here could have easily told you a community college would never offer pharmacy as a major.

3. Remember, your visa interview is your opportunity to show the VO that you are personally invested in your education, telling him you’re studying because of a prior promise to your dad does not convey that. It simply confirms that you have no idea what you’re doing… combined with having no clue about the difference between pharmacy and pharmacy technician.

I wish you better luck at your next interview.
