That wasnt the experience of my wife. After the interview, they sent her a mail telling her that she was successful, that someone will send her an email, which they did. They sent mail to her referees , at a point one of her referees email address wasnt going, she was informed and she requested if she could change her, which they agreed to. After the confirmation of her referees, they sent her conditional offer, after that, they sent her COS and the rest is history.

Thanks for the feedback. She sent sent a mail to the employer and requested that she sends alternate email addresses for her references and she got a message from the NHS trust that once I they received the feedback from the referees she would get an offer. Referees have responded and it's hoped that the NHS employer will revert next week. Please, what's the best option to book medicals with IOM? Several mails were sent within the week with no response from them. The phone lines are also not connecting. Please, kindly assist.

Firstly, I'm the 'HE'.

I processed the registration and applied from here in Nigeria. I got registered HERE IN NIGERIA.

The job is regulated but registration was not a requirement, the NHS Trust was supposed to help with it but I got registered because other jobs required it.

I did not take any exams, only submitted CV and credentials. COS came long after registration.

This was my situation some weeks back. After sending mail, I got no responses; then, I sent a reminder two times on the fourth working day and stated that their SLA was three days. Also, my hubby went there to put our name down on the fourth day, and surprisingly we got a scheduled that evening. So maybe you should follow my style. Also, note that you are going to spend your entire day there. They are damn slow and inefficient.

I wish you all the best.

Congratulations bro. My wife has BSc and MSc in Microbiology and been working as quality assurance officer under ministry of water resources close to five years. What is her chance of getting a job offer in UK or securing a health care visa. Thanks.

It has been difficult to book an appointment with IOM. I was advised to go there in the morning, wait till when they will be calling those that are given appointment and then use the opportunity to book for an appointment.
I am planning to do same for myself

Hello house,
Everywhere con quiet wetin de sup na? Abeg those who have successfully applied as senior care workers should come and help us clear the air on the certifications required to prove “appropriate skill level”
What exactly do they mean by NVQ3 equivalents in adult health and social care or related health professions?
Been hearing some disturbing refusal stories due to inappropriate skill level and it’s really scary.
Some said if you have a certificate from a college of health or a training in adult health and social care one needs to get a Naric comparison statement to prove that it’s equivalent to NVQ3. Does that mean that our diploma certificates from institutions like college of health technology in Nigeria won’t be enough proof. From the universal grading sheet, a diploma from a college of health technology in Nigeria is equivalent to level 4/5 Btec or so. I don’t know if I’m correct. But I’m scared stiff. Some please help clear the air. May God’s mercy and favour speak over our applications in Jesus name

Please, do you mean job application rejection or visa refusal?

From what I know, nvq level 3 is a 9 month program and is not a degree. It's equivalent to A-level in the uk. It's more like a year 1 Foundation program. Our 3 year Diploma in health cert is above it. If you apply to NHS jobs with a 3 year Diploma cert in health, you will be shortlisted for interview though will also depend on your work experience and your profile.
Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by RennyKitty: 6:26pm On Nov 30, 2021
Hi , visa refusals even after CoS has been issued. And one had university degree. I’m guessing they didn’t study health related courses maybe.
And if NVQ3 is just a 9months course that means Our diploma from health colleges Senior am well well be that lol
Meanwhile I heard also that the NHS has stopped sponsoring visas for Senior care workers so job seekers in that respect might want to save some time and energy by narrowing their search to only licensed care homes. On a brighter note we pray mass care worker shortage will inspire them to stamp for all scw applicants lol. Fingers crossed, it will end in praise

If they have qualifications from college of health technology in Nigeria, it may not fly. I think they assess the Diploma from college of health not to be closely related to health and social care. Nursing Diploma will fly without any issue because it falls under health and social care. Those with bsc that were denied too may have a degree that is not closely related to health and social care. Perhaps you could provide more details on the degree qualification these ones presented so that we can analyze and learn.
Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by RennyKitty: 9:47pm On Nov 30, 2021
Maybe not but I could remember vividly that we did general nursing science in year 1 and did a general nursing practicals for year 1 internship at the state general hospital back then in the college of health even when my course was Dental Surgery Technician. And so did most year 1 students from other departments. That should fly but then who are we to decide lol. Been working as a nursing assistant for over 2 years in a hospital and worked for some years in dental clinics. You only need to do 18months course conversion to change to dental nursing from being a dental technician. Meanwhile I’ll try to find out more on the courses the rejected older applicants studied

From my research and what I have heard it takes 60 days plus. If your application returns successful, you will be sent a payment link for annual registration fee.

Nowadays, it takes about a total of 6 months to get registered due to large volume of applications.

Congratulations and thanks for the information you’ve provided so far. I have a friend who studied physiology in Nigeria and would like to know how best to position herself to be eligible for jobs in the UK. Did you study in Nigeria too? If yes how did you go about the specialization? Thanks in anticipation.

Tell your friend to go to the nearest Teaching or General Hospital and locate any of the following units: EEG, ECG, Echocardiography, Spirometry or Physiology units. Request to learn at any of the unit (Most are free, some may ask for certain amount of money). Get sufficient experience and proficiency in their chosen field. Look for short courses related to their chosen fields that they can take. Then go online to begin their job search.

I schooled in Nigeria, by the way
