surely22: As in ehn, people forget too quick. Funny enough, he's so fed up of his A20s that he put it on sale since October for 47k. He never see am sell till now. Put a Redmi 8 on sale and see people rush it. |

MIUI 13 Features (November 27, 2021) Redesigned MIUI: The most significant changes over the current MIUI 12 would be in the design and looks. The MIUI 13 will reportedly come with new animations and fonts. It will also have redesigned app icons and fresh wallpapers. Floating Widgets: A leaked screenshot reveals that MIUI 13 will feature floating widgets. You can select your favorite widgets to be floating on top of any application, with a minimized feature that turns your floating widget into a floating icon. Optimized Dark Mode: This optimized dark mode will avoid being applied in applications that have their own dark mode, it will deactivate itself completely on detection of such apps. Therefore, color conflicts that would not allow us to see the interface correctly would be avoided. RAM Expansion Feature: Xiaomi is currently testing the memory expansion and AI subtitle function of MIUI 13 for all of its eligible devices. Also, there are new interactions in the small window that will make it better. After the function is turned on, the system will provide an additional 3.0GB of running memory. More responsive notifications: MIUI 13’s restriction on notification trampolines will help reduce latency for apps starting from a notification. Faster machine learning: The new version will help you make the most of ML accelerators and always get the best possible performance through the Neural Networks API. New Visual Design: The homepage can be customized. Adding to documents, pictures, videos, music, compressed packages, installation packages, transmission, and downloads, users can also place screenshots, cameras, WeChat, Baidu Cloud, and other folders on the homepage for more direct access. Privacy Dashboard: A new dashboard in Settings may give users better visibility over when their app accesses microphone, camera, and location data. Support for rounded screen corners: Many modern devices use screens with rounded corners. To deliver a great UX on these devices, you can use new APIs to query for corner details and then manage your UI elements as needed. Easier blurs, color filters, and others: New APIs make it easier to apply common graphics effects to your Views and rendering hierarchies. You can use RenderEffect to apply blurs, color filters, and more to RenderNodes or Views. 4 Likes |

olayinkajnr:It's redmi 8 na. But I never said xiaomi phones are bad na. I used it like a year and it's started issues of hanging, did I even come here to make noise about it or condemn it. I hejely went for Samsung a20s, which I have been using for almost a year and without any issue. Una problem be say, sometimes if anyone complain about xiaomi issues, you guys will raise eyebrows as if the phones was made in heaven and shouldn't have any issue. Oga, they are not the best, dem get their own issues as well. If you don't get it, fogerrit 1 Like

peteregwu: The only issue here is that at no point in my quote to you did I mention that Xiaomi is the best. You are the one that actually need to rest and stop expecting flagship performance from entry level device. You and the originator of this baseless argument actually need to rest. And if you must compare devices, compare devices in similar category. You can't just come here to compare let's say Redmi 8 performance to a Redmi Note 8 performance saying the Redmi 8 is wack and you don't expect that from Xiaomi. Na Xiaomi say make you no fit afford something way better? Meanwhile, that A20s is shitty AF. 7 Likes |

peteregwu: Imagine buying a phone Redmi Note 10 Pro and comparing it to a phone that's the cost of a land (say iPhone 13) and then coming over here to say trash about Redmi Note 10 Pro because it doesn't measure up to the performance of your iPhone? Now, relate that scenario to what that dude posted up there and you'll see the reason why the people your lots like calling Xiaomi fan boys (even if they are not) came for him. Peeps like you need to calm down and learn. It'll do you lots of good. |

peteregwu: You are indeed not wise. I used an umudigi A5 pro for a year and 8months , it had no fault at all. Not even charger was changed till I sold it off. Going by your logic, that means umudigi is a better brand than Samsung, cos you've changed your Samsung charger since you bought it. I used a Samsung phone which had screen related problem as far back as 2016, the cost of repairing the screen made no sense to me, I had to dump it. Sometimes the way we handle our phones also affect its durability. I rarely repair my phones. The only phone brand that gave me constant headache was the one I vowed never to use again which I don't want to mention here. I've never worked on my poco x3 pro since I bought it and it has never developed a fault before. I've got loads of games on this phone ( games that wouldn't play on so many phones without lagging). It doesn't even get hot, that's the best part of it, the battery life is something else and the charging speed is like lightning, between 55min to an hour it's already 100% from 0%. It's the 8/256gb variant though. Imagine I begin to compare this phone to a less than 70k phone, considering this cost between 180-250k now,or I begin to compare this to an iPhone 13pro max that cost a little above a thousand dollars. You see you aren't a wise man. Every phone company has phone issues , even your almighty Samsung, however the way we use phones also affect its durability and performance. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Jazzman01: 8:18am On Nov 28, 2021 |
peteregwu: Don't mind him. When you complain about the 7A, 8A, 9A etc, he will say what are you expecting from an entry level device? Whenever people start complaining about the various issues they're facing with the regular models, thats when he will start recommending the mi ultra which packs the most advance tech and features xiaomi engineers can come up with at the moment and probably the most expensive model for now. For reputable brands like Samsung and Nokia, you don't have to purchase their most expensive model or even any of their flagships to enjoy a quality and bug free phone. Telling people to get the Mi ultra or Mi note 10 pro before they can enjoy quality and bug free experience from Xiaomi is just ridiculous. 1 Like |
