This is the email I just got this night I don’t really know what this means though I need them to just give me my passport back and my Uk visa renewal Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre. With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, I can confirm that we have made a decision on your application. We cannot discuss the outcome of your application on-line or by telephone. However the visa application centre will be in contact with you in regards to collection or delivery of your passport. We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents. |

just a suggestion guys. Urgent questions are been swallowed up by the continuous putting of timelines or emails . The home office has stated that they are experiencing a high volume of visa applications from nigeria so the wait is expected. Try to manage your expectations. It is difficult i understand but also so tht this page does not get swallowed up. Looking back almost 20 pages, this is becoming the trend. Please they will get back to you as soon as they are done. Besides no one on this thread can influence how fast they return your passport. I know its the tension killing but also so tht queries are not lost . Also ukvi will give you generic replies. The only firm answer you will ever get is when you pick up your passprt. This is borne out of the need to minimize the repetitions. 3 Likes |

Good day everyone and happy Sunday. Please I have a question regarding the rule of a visa applicant not exceeding 2x or 2.5x of one's monthly disposable income for a trip. For instance, if I intend to apply for a visa for my famiky since I already have mine, does it matter if the total budget for the said trip is 1/5 of my bank account balances (I am the one sponsoring the trip) since it's already over and above the 2x or 2.5 x threshold? Please, gurus in the house should respond as I don't want to make any costly mistake by applying for my folks now or would it be better I go first and apply for them when I want to renew? Your contributions would be highly appreciated. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by cutebear: 11:36am On Nov 28, 2021 |
if you can go and come back before applying that would be nice. Going & returning establishes trust with the uk government and applying for them the next time would be smoother. The next time, you will apply & get your own 2 years visa before putting in their own application so that they can claim that they’re accompanying someone who already has a visa. esdajo: |

Good day all Please I'm a fresh intending applicant. First, I'd like to appreciate the informations you guys give freely to help others here. Thank you My question is, 1. As intending applicant, I'd be applying for a student visa. Making plans to travel with my wife. Is it possible? 2. What would be the overall cost of this journey? Pls my budget is around 6m. Do we have a chance? 3. If we do, what documents do I need to be working on now and when do I begin the application process? I would appreciate your sincere response to this ASAP. Thanks @all |

Really? Can't we all apply simultaneously the very next time I want to renew? Secondly, what about the part regarding the montly disposable income when juxtaposed with the amount earmarked as the budget for the trip? Does it really matter if its over 2x or 2.5x treshold if the total budget is lets say 1/5 (one fifth) of my account balances since I would be the one financing the trip? cutebear: |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by cutebear: 1:30pm On Nov 28, 2021 |
Well, you can apply simultaneously if that’s what will be convenient for you. On each application form, you can use the 2X income rule. I don’t think it’s realistic to use 2X income as a budget for 3 people. Each application form is different. Just focus on getting your finances right in anticipation of your next application, write a convincing cover letter and you’ll be fine. Just make your first trip and by the time you get to the bridge of 2 years visa, you will cross it. esdajo: |

cutebear: Bro. I'm new to all this I wanted to apply for her but she insisted I go to skul while she work. With 7m can't we start somewhere, since I'll be working 20hrs a week. She can assist me with skul fees and some bills too. I have someone there who will accommodate us for like a month before we settle. So would 7m go thru for us as a start. We can both be working to sort out bills and other expenses when we get there |

Check the uk student thread . All the information including financial requirement is on page 1. U will need all the money to ‘show’ in the 1st instance. Eddibloc: |

Good morning all. Please its urgent. Can I upload pdf files for visa application self service |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by gistbite(f): 3:01pm On Nov 28, 2021 |
Eddibloc: I think you need to make further research of the financial implications of this journey. 7m is not enough to pay for your school fees fully ( there's an option to pay half) then there's proof of funds for both of you, your account and hers for both of you ( 10m each) then accommodation cost (at least 6 months will be demanded from most agencies. Then there's the visa application fees (1m or thereabouts each) |

I paid for PRIORITY application. I did biometrics on the 17th Nov. Application was received at DMC on the 18th Nov. Tomorrow (29th Nov) will make it 8 WDs since my application was received at DMC. I thought Priority application normally takes 5 WDs. Do these people think GBP 220 is cray fish? I even paid for self, wifey and child; that's GBP 660 (almost 370k). Meanwhile, is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Hycon: 1 Like |
