Sanusi is waiting for the tenure of Ganduje to be over. He will return to court and try to re install himself as the Emir of Kano. You all should take note of this.

The removal of Sanusi gives insight into the latitude of our Obas, Emirs and Obis. They serve at the pleasure of the governor, and not at the pleasure or interest of their people.

His removal, especially the reason for his removal is also an indictment , as to how powerful corruption is.

I somewhat thought that the Kano people will take to the street for their Emir, but the conservative Kano also saw Sanusi as a threat.

His broad mindedness, his desire for the education of his people, his desire to demand for good governance on behalf of his people threatened the solidarity that is solidified by poverty and illiteracy of the people.

And so, soon, the northern elites became threatened, there could be no appeal to anyone then.

Succintly put, I wish I can like this 1million times. The northern elites.... hmmmn

It's how they are now laundering sanusi's public image for me.
All of a sudden he is the persecuted victim, I wonder what the end game is.
I don't think there's any endgame remaining, cos, he is dethroned already!

It has nothing to do with dethroning and vacating the stool as the Emir of Kano
But what's about spending time in TOTO?

That's a relic of colonialism.

Back in the day, the traditional ruler could be demoted at the pleasure of the Resident, District officer, or Governor. Independence just transferred the power to the new Nigerian rulers.

I totally disagree with you, it can happen anywhere.

If I were told earlier that Former CBN Governor Sanusi would be dethroned from his EMIRship. I wouldn't have agreed but it happened
