The only option now is to go through neighbouring countries.
You stay there for 14days and fly after because no one know exactly when this ban will be lifted. Mxm

How is it official, check the IRCC account for confirmation. The only ban now is on southern African countries.

With respect to the ban. Please does that mean no Nigeria visa application would be processed by IRCC for now

PPR Alert!!

Indeed God is faithful. I'm so grateful to all the members on this platform that has helped me in my study permit application.

I'll try my best to keep this post short.

The very first thing I did when I began my journey to study in Canada was to take IELTS Academic. I sat for the exam on the 10th of April, 2021 and results came in sometime around May. Thankfully, I had an overall band 7.5. Listening-8.5 Reading-7.5 Writing-6.5 Speaking-7.5.

After that, I started applying to colleges because I didn't get into universities. I applied to Cambrian, Durham, Georgian, Lambton and Conestoga colleges (all in Ontario). Got admissions in all, thankfully.
I chose to study Computer Applications Development in Conestoga to begin in January, 2022.

Then my visa journey started...

Letter of Employment

Pictures of sponsor and applicant

Truly, it has been God all the way.
I know my application wasn't perfect but God perfected it.

I studied Chemical engineering and I'm going for a PGCert in Computer Applications Development. Isn't God wonderful?!

My sponsor is my elder brother, no lump sum, no landed properties or company registration. Just the first term tuition was paid ($8,723). I was worried about my family ties but I talked about my love for my family and opportunities in Nigeria upon completing my studies.

Though the application might be very stressful, the wait may seem long, trust in God and He will make everything beautiful in His time.

Indeed, it will end in praise.

God is great, Canada will favour you in Jesus name

During the era of Delta variants, indians felt it as flights from there was prohibited. Every month, CA reviewed and placed new date of ban. What indians did was to go through neighbouring countries. Ironically, when they get to POE, they were allowed in. Now it may likely be our turn, hope African factor won't come into play and they will start turning everybody back if they come from neighbouring country. My greatest concern is hope it won't in turn affect processing time of applications? Indians felt the heat as most vfs office closed and this led to delays in application processing.

Baba God na your hand we dey so be this oo.

Yes only few helps to inquire from IRCC about applicants application status when you write to them for help from outside their riding (constituents). Some, even when you're in Canada but not in their constituents, they will tell you that they can't interfer as is not within their riding.

Nevertheless, we have good ones who go extra miles to get updates from IRCC on the applicants behalf and later share with applicants as we have witnessed here.

But If you're already residing within their constituents and write to them for help, sharperly, they will help your.

Thank you so much Ketima I really appreciate. It will surely end In praises.

I’m sure that they will just restrict non essential travel. They will probably still let in students and their spouses (cause that is considered essential travel).

They are trying to update it completely. On your current status, after that message, they will put refused there. If it was approved after your passport has been stamped, u will receive same msg and on the status bar, it will show approved with counterfoil etc.

Alright. Thanks for the clarification.

It might not fly except if you're flying with a passport other than the barred countries. If you're holding a Nigerian intl passport, that will raise a red flag, and the CBSA may end up denying you entry into Canada. Think twice!

Milk is not allowed! What the poster did was illegal. If they were to be caught, it won't auger well for them. It is advisable that for future's sake, abide by all the laws. You don't want to have a dent of disobedience in your history because of milk, ordinary milk!

You don't need to shout...she said it... infact, she is aware of the risk...las las, it will be dropped at the checking point....that's what they do at the airport... let's not sweat it... it's just like you said..."ordinary milk"

Put palm oil in a hard plastic bottle like a flask, not soft plastic like bottled water. seal tight and pack along with clothes
