The ban takes effect immediately, only people who boarded on Monday would be safe to enter and people who boarded before the official announcement, few people that boarded after the announcement might also be lucky. But I wouldn't advise anyone to fly today by risking it, refusing entry at POE may be very traumatic at the long run.

Let everyone just relax, follow up with news, pray and hope this ban would be reviewed in few days and let Nigeria be removed. Unfortunately our government doesn't know how to engage international community, similar thing happened with Dubai, ban was just lifted after 8 months. In the case of Itunu girl in Cote D'Ivoire, her life was lost after 8 months of the news breaking and yet the Nigerian government couldn't do anything.

there is no expert in this ooo but from what we learnt in the Delta variant situation and India, processing became so slow and ppr became scarce but their application I think was processed in India.ours are processed in Ghana and Nairobi especially. few in London so no one can say 4 sure and no one is experienced. we have never been banned

The fact is that most of these western countries dont rate us at all, more facts are emerging that the Omicron variant was first detected in Netherlands 5 days before it was noticed in SA, guess what? No European country (including Netherlands) is on the travel ban list African countries are generally sh*t. Even CNN is saying the ban is unjust especially with the exclusion of Netherlands, but just like i said dem no rate us. America is top 3 most affected by covid, dem no born Canada well to ban them USA citizens dont need visa to enter Canada but Canadians need visa to enter USA, African countries need to step up their games when it comes to international diplomacy

Can I still use Egypt air if I decide to leave from a neighbouring country considering that Egypt is also included in the ban. What are the chances that other west African countries won’t be included in the next 2 weeks? To think I’ve gotten my permit almost 5 months ago..It’s well.

You will need to call or visit their office and ascertain if they have flights from neighbouring countries and the the flight routes, then you work out hotels you can stay etc

Noo. But I think if VFS should close, then processing of applications will reduce and take longer owning to the closure of VFS offices but will not stop. Indians felt the slow processing of applications during Delta variants as their VFS offices were closed. Just hope it won't get to this point ooo abeg.

Call them to discuss options, I think they should reroute some flights from other west african countries that you can join, so long as they won't be stopping in Cairo when they fly to Canada

Now we all know we are suppose show funds that will take care of one year tuition, living expenses and other (flights and miscellaneous). In addition to that, we also need to show how we intend to take care of the subsequent years if is a two year upward course.

Now sponsored by your brother, are you a mature student? Is your brother married with family that will likely depend on the same money shown as your POF for his family upkeep. If is not, how did he prove to the VO that the money is solely for your studies and his family has other means of taking care of themselves. From your own part, did you show any money no matter how small it is?

So in summary, VO is thinking the money you submitted can't cover your the entire duration of stay in Canada without working. Of which what if your don't find work, how then do you complete your studies.

It seems you’ve not done medicals .. so you can either request for medical or do it upfront.
Upfront is done because of short time I think but you might not know your fate either while when you request if the VO find you eligible he/she will send you a medical instructions letter which is 90% approval. I didn’t do upfront but it might be difficult to get a close date when you get the medical instructions letter but you’ll definitely get a date if you go to the hospital with your instructions letter.
