#EndSARS PANEL REPORT: THE SIEGE IS OVER

Since November 15, 2021, when the Reports of the #EndSARS Judicial Panel were submitted to the Lagos State Government, a good number of my colleagues, friends and admirers prevailed on me to refrain from further public pronouncements on the activities and reports of the Panel since the government was studying the said reports.

Upon the submission of the said reports, lawyers on the payroll of the government and other employees of the government, took turns to denigrate the reports, on national television, in paid adverts in newspapers and on the social media.

Ministers in the Cabinet of the Federal Government have also commented on the said reports, in some cases calling members of the Panel unprintable names and even comparing victims of brutality and human rights abuses to goats and taunting their already traumatized families and friends.

On November 30, 2021, the government released two separate White Papers, to the general public. The Panel was not informed of this action and it was not availed copies of the said White Papers, till this moment.

The Committee that reviewed the Reports of the Panel and which produced the White Papers was headed by the Honourable Attorney-General of Lagos State.

On December 1, 2021, the Honourable Attorney-General of Lagos State was a guest on Arise Television, where he took time to discuss the Reports of the Panel and the contents of the White Papers that his Committee produced. The impression was also created that the Panel mismanaged funds released to it.

It has become necessary therefore for me and all other Members of the Panel to study the White Papers and make appropriate responses thereto. There will be no holds barred, since the government itself has opened the doors for public scrutiny of the report and the white papers.

For the records, the Panel relied upon the evidence of witnesses, documents tendered before it and the goodwill of the people of Nigeria, throughout its assignment.

It is painful for me and the Panel that the government is creating the wrong impression of financial impropriety as a tool of distraction when the Panel had a Secretariat that managed all its funds, through the Ministry of Justice.

Although I served on the Panel free of charge without collecting a dime, I know as a fact that other members served sacrificially, giving up their time, families and careers for a whole year.

At the appropriate time, we will respond to all the inaccuracies, the coverups and the inconsistencies contained in the White Papers released by the government.

Assuredly, nothing can ever cover the truth. What happened at the Lekki Toll Gate on October 20, 2020, was already in the public domain, those who received the bullets knew what happened and the doctors that treated them knew what happened. The Panel reports only confirmed what most Nigerians already knew.

cool

On page 288 paragraph (M), the Panel crucially held

“The evidence of the pathologist Prof Obafunwa that only 3 of the bodies that they conducted post mortem examination on were from Lekki and only one had Gunshot injury and this was not debunked. We deem it credible as the contrary was not presented before the panel.”

So any idiot can claim "Witness", drop false evidence and the panel will accept it.

Very lazy and incompetent panel.

This has to be the dumbest post of the year. Try and make reasonable comment before this year runs out. Today is the beginning of the last month of the year so there's still time to disappoint us for once by making a sensible post

It's very simple, let the honourable SAN get convictions for the victims with the evidence at his and the panel disposal, this social media back and forth won't bring justice to the "alleged victims" and their love ones..

If you can make a case of massacre without bodies, death certificate, autopsy, forensic report and families evidence then go ahead, we'll raise a GoFundMe account to foot your bill...QED

The lives, future of young nigerians are being toyed with and some youths are just too myopic to see that.the worst off are those that are even supporting them cos their entire life has been bought over with pension...a time will come that those supporting evil of a government will be dumped like those of the past.the pension that some of them will rely on might not even feed their family for one week.those paymasters of theirs will be left with insurance schemes and looted funds and will discontinue the free for some they are doing right now.

Even Journalist Babajide Otitoju was Quoting the Judicial Panel Law to back up his opinion and Position that the Report had no legal standing and now a SAN Lawyer cannot not even quote a single law to support himself, it is because he himself knows he didn’t follow the law

It is what the government does:

"Dem go dabaru everything

Government magic!

Dem go turn green into white

Government magic!

Dem go turn red into blue

. . ..
Government magic!

Dem go turn electric to candle"

Despite all the videos from many victims and their families, even in the face of DW news Fanny Facsar's eye witness report, despite DJ's switch's live stream, some paid and unpaid "oloriburukus" are still trying to play the devil's advocate for the same government that has practically ruined their lives in one aspect or the other -- this is beyond Stockholm syndrome -- this is a death wish.

Despite all the inconsistencies from the governor, the army and the police . . .

BTW, are Nigerian police or army new to taking away bodies? See Kalakuta Republic, 1977 (they took away people, maimed, killed, set the place on fire, denied it, banned news outlets from reporting it {Punch did and paid for it}, set up panels, brought same white paper of lies, blamed unknown soldiers, etc.), and many other examples.
Why clean up the crime scene? Why turn back ambulances who sought to reach the site to provide help to victims?

Live bullet and blank ones belonging to the Nigerian military were retrieved despite their shabby clean up job.

Evidences: check
Eye witnesses: check
Video evidences: check
Media report: check

And some dumb m'fxckers are now telling us Lai Mohammed, is no longer a liar, Sanwo-Olu who admitted 2 dead bodies initially, now says no body . . . and these oiks (paid or unpaid) now believe or are trying to sell this dumb sh!t?

Y'all would get yours someday -- no be Naija again?

Las, Las, una all go chop breakfast.

Adegboruwa, "Big Sam" said the Lagos government never interfered with their work or put them under pressure.
But the quality of what they produced is too poor. How can SAN and senior judicial officers list people as presumed dead as evidence of a massacre because someone said so? How can dead people have only first names? Wisdom, Tola, no surname, no life history, no family, no friends with evidence in a report of tgis nature?

Too poor for the amount spent
