I have three experiences I'll like to share about being a guest in the home of the opposite sex, but first let me tell you a little something about me;

The thing is there's this mentality I adopted all I can say is it has bin part ofe for as long as I can remember. How, where and why I adopted this is still a mystery to me. The mentality is "I can't pass a night in a girl's place" no matter the situation/circumstance.

Now to my first experience: there was this girl I made friends with that later turned out to be FWB we see ourselves occasionally, on this faithful day I had prepared to go watch a football match and since her place was closer to the viewing venue i decided to pass time and leave from there, got there, we talked, ate and eventually got cuddled up, time for match was close and was about to leave, she tried to convince me to forfeit the match and stay behind, but at that time the satisfaction I'd get from the match, s3x or cuddle won't quench it.

Before I left she made me promise I come back. So after the match which ended some minutes to 11pm, I branch by her place and we picked off where we left off. In all that I lost track of time, wen I realized the time was some minutes past 12am, told her I was going home, she asked if I was serious, I said yes, she insisted I pass the night that it was very late, after much back and forth I decided to stay.

1am i found myself very much awake counting her ceiling while she was very much fast asleep, 1.30am dis time I could hear the noise of the cricket and other night insects around the compound. To 2am I woke her up that I can't stay I just have to leave we'll talk at day break, she should just find the strength to lock the door after I've left.

Left her place at 2am, got home and I was able to sleep for the remaining hours of the night. Got a call from her at daybreak saying, I should weldone that I'm really funny, told her not to be angry she won't understand.

My second experience: I had this female friend of mine back then in skul, although unlike the first, this one knows how I feel about being in a girl's place. Cos most of her efforts to make me spend more time at her place, all failed due to my stubbornness.

On this particular day I paid her a visit, we got talking, one gist led to another and we lost track of time, it was wen rain started I realized it was late, I decided to step into the rain and find my way home, but she refused saying she won't let me go into the rain, although the rain was heavy (heavy down pour) I insisted I most go, she laughed and said God has caught me today, that she wants to see if I'll die if I sleep at her place or something will swallow me, she will see today.

Her main concern was the rain was much and if I venture into it, I may get sick later, maybe catch a cold, but at that moment my only thought was to get back home. I decided to stay but I wasn't comfortable, after about an hour plus, she saw I wasn't comfortable and the rain refused to stop, she gave the go ahead, brethren, I entered the rain and went home......

Thought I was the only one with this phobia.

Have never slept over in any of my opposite friends place.

Even the ones that would cook sweet food for me, on Gen and buy drinks.

I go still waka leave you .

No matter the time or situation, I'll just have to leave .
I suspect it's because I love my space and peace of mind.

I feel so uncomfortable being in someone's private space , talkless of the opposite sex.

So what's the moral lesson?

I don't have a problem with girls sleeping over at my place, it's no big deal, but the idea of me passing a night at a girl's place is what I find hard to do, and if I eventually pass the night, I can't seem to sleep, that brings me to my third experience;

This happened with my current GF, when we first met, she was into me already so I didn't stress my self to woo her, as we just spoke for a day and everything played out, I was to travel back home the next day cus I Lodged at a friend's place for the few days I was there for personal issues, and since we were into each other she suggested I spend the night at her place since I would be traveling the next day.

As usual I declined, she insisted I sleep over, or was I afraid, that she won't bite, I told her that wasn't the case as I hardly spend the night in a girl's room. She further insisted i start with hers'. Knowing fully well I had a thing for the girl, I decided to break protocol. But first I had to inform my guy I won't b staying at his place for the night, I'll come over in the morning, as it was same compound.

Went over to her place, got to talk about ourselves (getting to know each other) till past 11pm, she was a fast sleeper and during the conversation she doses off, brothers and sisters from 11pm till 6am I couldn't sleep, not cus I didn't want to sleep but on the fact that I looked for sleep and I didn't get any.

Most times at night I would often find myself counting her ceiling, watch her sleep as she changed posture and sleeping positions from time to time, or how I will try to adjust to get a better breathing room cus we ended up cuddling, or even how I would try occasionally to tap her faintly to adjust so she can breathe well cus she had cattarh that period.

I just couldn't find sleep. Wen it was 6am, I woke her up, told her I'm going, let me go get myself ready for my journey, I will come to say goodbye. To cut long story short, I slept through out the journey that the stop I was suppose to make I missed it, ended up costing me extra tp.

So I want to ask, does anyone have similar mentality as mine, experienced such before or I'm just being weird. Share yours.

Exactly, you get. Even if my place is a distance, although if my place is far, I'd have planned to leave early. Some might think u're being a good boy/afraid they'll bite (literally). Like u said private space is of utmost importance.

I have passed night in a house shared by 4 different girls...I find one go sometime before lockdown last year, she took me around the town, and slept with her in the same apartment shared by her other flatmates. It was a 2 bedroom apartment. As I was bleeping her that night, she was moaning from 9:00pm till midnight. I was stylishly advertising my bleeping skills

In the morning they were teasing me, that I no gree make them sleep the previous night.

there's one thing to note here..

None of those girls forced you as soon as you said you weren't comfortable, they allowed you to travel home.

But if the script is flipped. You were a girl in the house of the opposite sex, 9 out of 10 of them will attempt to touch you, rub your thigh, press breast, some will rape you. No self control for the male gender.

it is not even advisable sleeping in girls house in the first place....the embarrassment u will get if any of her male associate comes knocking enh...u will wish ground open and swallow you.
