I booked an appointment for Jan 3rd due to lack of nearer dates. I plan to do walk in on Monday, is that okay?
For those that has recently used tls ikeja, how crowded is it? At what time should I probably go for the walk in?

Not yet o, 33 working days now.
Tracking changed to Transferred to VAC on Tuesday but hasn't moved since then.
Is your "biometrics done" row still on red or has it changed to green?

Thank you. Have you received yours?

What is your employment status? Self employed, Employed, Student?. What are your ties in Nigeria that would convince the ECO that you will return to Nigeria a free your trip?

Hello,

Please what are the requirements for a visitor's visa to the UK? I'm a first time traveller and my sister and her husband, who are resident in the UK, are sponsoring. Kindly help with requirements + the process.

I've gone through plenty pages already to avoid asking this question but I didn't see a list. Somebody please help me. Thanks!

Wow, I remember your story, indeed this is great news congratulations.
So application was received @ VAC on the 3/12/2021 and you went to collect it without them sending you mail. That means the Visa has been approved already on your passport it's just for them to send an email, and you did what I will call the violent taketh it by force, nice1 indeed. So those people that the application has been received successfully by VAC and yet to get a mail what are you waiting for, I think they go in and collect theirs too.
Once again I celebrate you

RennyKitty:
Woow a very big congratulations to you
I’m next in line for this HAC visa testimony in Jesus.
Meanwhile did you verify your credentials with Naric to prove your qualifications?

PRAISE GOD HALLELUJAH!!! GOD ALMIGHTY HAS DONE WHAT PEOPLE HAVE SAID IT IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!

If anyone doesn’t remember me, I will introduce myself briefly and will encourage some1 to click on my profile name to read a lot about me.

Some weeks ago, I was the person that was asking a question on behalf on my friend that I said he travel to UK and become overstayer for at least 4 years, did Judicial Review-one was successful while the other was unsuccessful and out of the unsuccessful Judicial Review, Home Office certify one decision as “clearly unfounded claim” but now God has done it for me.

In order words, I was the one that was disguising as my friend-you can click on my username and see more about me.

In short, with my overstayer in the UK for 4years and certified decision and JR, I put in my application for an entry clearance as a Tier 2 worker migrant (skilled worker/health and care worker) on the 8th of December 2021. The timeline are as follows:

Tier 2 (Health and Care Worker Visa) application submitted on the 8/11/21
Biometrics done on the 16/11/21
Application transferred & received by DMC on the 16/11/21
Application transferred to VAC 29/11/21
Application received by VAC 3/11/21
Passport with 3 years visa received by me on the 3/11/21. In fact I didn’t wait for the collection mail before I went there today. I arrived at 2pm, check in and received my passport with my visa

NOTE: All I will advised to people in my shoes that are U.K. overstayer with an entry ban is to return home in time, give home office about 3-5 years before you make an entry clearance application and be truthful in your application and please do not lie. Lying is not good and gather all your material evidence in order.

NOTE 2: A bit of warning to those that do mock people in this forum regarding their status, I will continue to say they are not God and they cannot know what God have for you. I can remember one person in this particular forum that mock me and say a lot of things about my UK immigration history but I told the person he/she is not my God and finally the God that I served have done it for me today and by special grace of God I will be among those that will be in the UK. God once again I thank you, you are so good to me and my family.

NOTE 3: A big appreciation to @ Bourne007, he/she is a wonderful and great person to me. He/she even asked me to obtain my SAR (subject access request) immigration history from the UKVI, which I did but till today I didn’t receive it till I applied for my visa application and received my passport today. I pray that as you meet my need my God almighty will also continue to meet your need and that of your family IJN. I am really grateful personally to you ma/sir.

Thank you all!!! UK here I come IJN, no weapon against me shall prosper IJN (Amen).

For does that had their biometrics on the 17th of Nov(Standard) has anyone gotten a collection mail or tracked his or her application and noticed document received by VAC?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by cutebear: 9:48am On Dec 04, 2021
I did my biometric on my the 17th of Nov. We are presently on 12 working days so let’s wait till wednesday at least before we start panicking grin
The “document transferred to VAC” has been there for everyone since last week or so. There’s a glitch on the TLS website

I did biometrics on 12th November, received a non-straight email and still waiting. Paid for priority service.

First timers are usually adviced to use standard. Super priority can lead to the ECO rushing to get your application out without carefully studying your case. Unless it’s a medical emergency, urgent business meeting or something.
Many people on this thread did super priority visas and it seems like they just rushed and packaged their passport back to them because they are time bound.

Okay, so you’re young, single & self-employed.
Is your business profitable? Because there’s the question of why you’re being financially sponsored by your sister if your business is profitable enough to return to. If your business makes enough revenue, there should be proof of this in your bank statement. It would’ve been an easier case if you were financing your trip and you were just being invited by your sis & her husband.

Also, do you have a travel history to other countries?
Uk ECOs are very strict o. People have family members in the UK and they still deny them. I am a living proof of that. My parent was dying in a uk hospital while receiving treatment and I was denied despite being employed by one of the best companies in Nigeria. The ECO said that there are large deposits in my account and he’s not sure where they came from.
Especially if you’re a young person. They believe you have no reason to come back to Nigeria.

The ways to prove to the ECO that you will return to Nigeria is to show that you have;
1. A well paying career to return to
2. A profitable business to return to
3. Family to return to (husband or children)
4. Your personal investment (land/building).
5. You have a good travel history to other countries. This also helps sometimes.

Hello everyone and the gurus in the house. I just discovered this thread and it's super educative, y'all gurus are doing a great job. I have a question please.

I know everyone here is likely planning to travel for schooling, work or legal tourism (visit) I call it legal because you'll be leaving after your speculated time of visit.

Now I want to apply for tourism 6 months Visa and I don't plan to come back ( I understand that after the 6 months expires I'll be an illegal resident in the country which I honestly don't care, I'm just tired of this place that I wouldn't mind.

I would have used the other legal route but I am not qualified, I do not have the funds for school and I do not have the qualifications to work so the only way for me is Tourism.

My question is, is there a possibility of me getting my papers after my 6 months Visa expires, if yes how long should I be looking at waiting before I can start processing the papers, is there a way I can work and maybe take a short course there? Finally I'm I alone on this road

Good day everyone, I am a silent reader n I must commend all the efforts of everyone on this platform in making our dreams fruitful.
I did my biometric on the 3rd of Nov and received a mail from UKVIHUB that my application has reached UKVisit for DMC and more so I opted for KEEP MY PASSPORT. My questions are,
- Will I receive a mail from UKVI to submit my passport or would it come from TLS?
- At the time they ask for my passport, would my stage of application change from receive for DMC to transfer to VAC? Why I'm asking this question is because I noticed the tracking of my application is at transfer to VAC since on Monday.
- If eventually I was asked to bring my passport, who's placing the visa vignette on the passport (UKVI or TLS)? Or TLS would have to send my passport to the UK Embassy for the vignette to be placed?
- Lastly, how long would it take for them to return my passport after it was requested?

Your positive responses would ease my tension a lot because my application is now over 22 working days.

When a decision has a been taken you’ll be sent an email to take your passport to TLS for the visa. It’s nothing to worry about please
