I was in cotonou to renew my international passport, I was able to pass legally with just giving the border officials like 5k in total excluding leaving. Because I had a new passport I had to pay about 10k.

People should just ensure it can be verified online through the Bar code

Yes, there is visa age restrictions for people below 35 but that doesnt mean the visa wont come out, you only have to pay more and your visa would be processed successfully.

You need to have more in the account, the 10k is borderline, since you are self sponsored what about money for flight tickets if the 10K is for living expenses? Then do you have dependents at home? What will you use as home ties?

They added Nigeria but gave the option of coming into the UK to quarantine for 14 days at 1750 pounds. This is what Canada should have done, not the outright ban, it doesnt make sense
