I'm not disputing what you said, but there are times, and procedures to farm cassava in those areas. I can teach you how to do it if you are interested.
I'm on ground in this farm business for long to guess about such things

Are you serious with this question?

We were discussing about how to farm in those places that use to have excess water during rainy season. And I'm telling you that now is time.

However, I'm not forcing you to do it, I only wanted to show you how to do it. I will also post pictures for you (that is if you are still interested) to see and follow.i started mine on Monday.

I am interested in buying groundnut and beans.

Can I get them in Benue State during this period.

Or there's a season for it.

groundnut season has passed, you can get any quantity at the local markets but it's now costly.

For beans you need to go up North and this is the season.

Sorry for the late reply.

I will not advice you to burn the bushes, use a Cutlass and clear where you want to do it instead.

I will go to my farm now and get the pictures for you and explain more.

Thanks

Groundnut season has passed like someone mentioned earlier. You can still get it but the price is something else. I will advice you go for beans only for now.

Wow, this is nice. I have one question to ask though. Can someone just plant on the ordinary leveled ground or it's a must to make ridges or heaps?
Re: Benue Farmers 2021 Farming Season Let's Meet Up by Nobody: 10:11am On Dec 31, 2021
Each one must be big enough to be able to accommodate 3cassava stems

You can't plant it on a leveled ground. Water will spoil it later

At the each end of your farm, do something like this to avoid overflow of water when it's raining season.

But don't close all the openings so that water can pass through
