When it comes to dealing with the corruption and ineptitude that characterize the civil service in Nigeria, the short devil in Kaduna handles that well..., maybe the only thing he does well..Sack , sack and sack. Whenever most Nigerians are talking about job creations, they're looking at government jobs. It's not supposed to be so. This mentality has led to a situation where all sorts of people, both the qualified and the unqualified have been dumped in the civil service. Most are useless as they're not needed. Yet they get paid handsomely every month. It only happens in Nigeria.

their system always end up too expensive to maintain.....

This is one aspect I admit Buhari has failed woefully.

With his emergence, I imagined the wastage that comes from recurrent expenditure (aside from salaries of civil servants) will be significantly reduced, but what we have is rather an increase from what it used to be, with the cost of governance shooting over the roof.

He should have made it one of his first assignments to drastically cut back on the luxury of his office, and ensure Nigerians know exactly what monies have been saved from doing so. Then proceed to ensure his ministers do the same. Nigerians themselves will then ensure governors in their respective states of origin follow suit, with him giving the people the needed support, even by way of legislation, to see that happen.

But in a case where he hasn't done such, his lieutenants will sure have no reason to, and he wouldnt have any moral grounds upon which he could ask them to, ditto the governors.

An extremely crooked system we have in place at the moment.

to do that,you must become a dictator....

becomin president and change anything you like is not possible in a democracy....you have to have the approval of soo many people....

They have used Dr Akabueze and they will dump him.
He is an Igbo man but serves the interest of Tinubu. What he simply did is to put out the campaign strategy of Tinubu, who he represents in the cabinet, while at the same time putting the govt in bad light.
But how will Nigerians especially north see it?
They will solely see him as an Igbo, leaving the fact that he came through Tinubu's Lagos.
The north will see his position as Igbos position and he end up being sacked.
Mark my words.
