I have a sibling studying in doncaster Uk, and I have a brother studying in Canada, truth be told, getting a paying job in Uk is difficult, the facts is that Uk is not a commercial country, unlike Canada, my sibling in Canada has been schooling and working, rounding up next year, in fact he got work almost immediately he arrived Canada, in an IT company.

So Canada is preferable when it comes combining working and schooling, Uk is nice only when u have a sponsor that could take care of all your bills.

I recently got admitted to the Solent University Southampton, Uk and school is resuming next year January.
Currently, preparations are in top gear, I planned to pay my tuition fee this month and I'm also waiting for decision on the scholarship I applied for by 14th, December.
Now, I want you guys to intimate me with study life in Southampton and UK generally. I also intend to work and study, my program is a year masters course in Applied Artifical intelligence and data science. I want first hand information, please what are the kinds of jobs available and how easy is it to get one?

Southampton is a nice city to live and study in and Solent Uni is also a good place for AI and data science….not sure about the job prospects in your field but you can get jobs in healthcare while you study. There are two big hospitals in the city…Southampton General hospital and Royal South Hants. RSH is closer to Solent Uni…like 10mins walk or less. SGH is about 25mins on the bus or less if you are driving.

Your campus is nicely located in city centre….lots of high street shops, recreational park, art gallery, Southampton train station and there are shops around Saint Mary selling Afro-Asian food stuffs…you’ll feel at home there.

My advice…as a student, look beyond your field of study…you might get something related to IT/AI….you can get jobs at SGH or RSH to support yourself while you study
