Cluelessness of the game is just one of Ted numerous character in the show. How about likeability by his players, and players willing to do anything for him. How about his charisma and his ability to motivate his players and always ready to defend his players regardless of how they perform. You don't expect a top manger in the premier League to be clueless of the game as Ted even at the championship level. That's why the show is a comedy. Outside the cluelessness, Klopp comes close to being Ted Lasso.

You are not getting my point. No manager as clueless of the game as Ted would be allowed near a championship team. Ole cannot even be compared to Ted, he hardly shows any attribute of Ted on the pitch and off the pitch.

Just like Ted, Klopp was expected to flop at Liverpool especially after his abysmal first two seasons. But he wins the heart of the majority with his exploit at Liverpool, especially with the kind of players he signed to win the champions League and the premier League.

Sudeikis himself noted that some of his actions has Ted was inspired by Klopp.
