I had a very terrible experience with a rider this evening.

This man ordered me at Makoko community in Yaba area. He was going to the airport When I got there, he came out with a lady carrying two bags. I opened the trunk from inside and they put the bags and closed the trunk.

The man came and sat in front of the car but refused to close the door. He started asking me why I didn't come down to open the trunk for him. That, is he not paying for the trip, that I am not doing him a favour. So many trashes.

I told him that I opened the trunk from inside and I am already seated in the car so? He then said that he will cancel the trip. I told him that with all pleasure, he can cancel it.

The next thing, the man said that I will not take my car out of their estate until I bring his bags out of my car by myself. I came down from the car and he did. When we got to the gate, the estate security men asked me to go outside the car, I told them that something is wrong with their brain to think that I will leave my car inside their estate and go outside so they will lock me out.

After much back and forth, I just knew the man had home advantage and there's no need dragging further, let me just remove his luggages from my car and move on to other trips.

When I brought his bag out, he started shouting that I have broken things inside the bag with the way I dropped it on the floor. I just entered my car and drove to the gate before those security people opened for me to drive out.

The man was telling me that he left university 35 years ago, that he has a personal driver that he pays 150k monthly. I guess he's use to getting served that he can't differentiate his domestic staff from someone that's there to provide a service and go.

This hustle sha. cry

Rider will be asking shitty questions like:

Where’s your car?
Where are you?
Reverse back
Go front
Turn left
Open booth
Come down
Is this you
What’s your number plate
What’s your car color
Is your car yellow, orange, lemon or limca?
Is this you?
Your car is gold but it’s doesn’t look like gold
Can you carry 2 bags of rice?
Don’t follow map I’ll direct you (gbam una both find una self inside traffic)
Noooo I’m in number 2 not 5 turn back (but it’s just 2 houses ahead now)
Oga why are you driving sluggish (80km/h is sluggish)
Oga you’re over-speeding

Truth is most guys doing this work now are accidental drivers. They just decided to do the work cos they heard that money dey there. Most don't know how to really drive. I see them on the roads every day.

It is that pathetic.
Tomorrow you'll still see someone coming here to ask how much he will be making everyday, that he just finished learning how to drive and don't know roads too.
Not even asking for how to perfect his driving skills, tomorrow they will be on the road in addition to the mad drivers we already have on the roads.
Wetin I know sef, everybody dey struggle to survive the hash economy even at the risk of their lives and that of other road users.

If dem talk, I tell u no be expressway we dey and other road users are on the road. If accident happen, them go discharge continue their movement.

U never see anything, shebi u wan make 1 million.
Yesterday my first request, a Lady.
Hi I can see you are at the mall, right?
I said yes, she said I will soon be out.
After few minutes I saw someone standing by my car, I was like so we still have smart ladies like this?
How did you know i am, she said she have my car details and only had to do small tracing.
I shock, I was already waiting for her to call after coming out to tell me to on my double pointer or what car am I driving, which side did you park? What's the colour of car and those funny questions.
Some will even come out and will bluntly say ' but you said you are I can't find you', meanwhile she is just coming out of the mall and maybe standing at the entrance probably because she doesn't want to enter the sun.
But this one shock me grin

Lol....once you here the title "Oga".... Na only olosho dey use this prefix.....the first is when they are running late, before the Indian/pakistaní change his mind and contact another service provider...

The second is when they'd already cashed-out, they wan' get home safely, with the reality that life is sweet with money, looking worn out, lying like a fat bull at the rear, " ruminating " about how the money would be spent ,percentage to be paid as thrift(àjo) and to their plug/Connect....

U gaz have fair understanding how shows are being run by this group of people, since they are large % those we ferry around.

You see...I have this heuristic persona, I strongly believe in the idea of people learning from their experiences. I hate hearsays. Perhaps, because I'm an adventurous person.

Sometimes discussion like this pops up in inner circle...
"Ehn I hear say dem dey make N5m for ehailing biz"

Na me go be the first person, wey go chook mouth...off course yes...you can. Months later comes reality...Then he/she could make his/her submission... Simple!!!

You could have an hint about something, but experience will surely be different...

Ahhhhh...that man is lucky oooo. Na U put something 4 my car...na u still cancel trip by urself. Bros u r d one that will remove ur load by urself. Or we will wait till ur next ride comes and maybe the driver will be kind to remove the load from my car and put it in his car. I am not going to touch ur luggage. I tot as much that he will claim u have spoilt something, next time don't touch d property of someone who wants to make trouble with u.

It's most likely they are waiting for drivers to drop a vehicle and give a call to new ones.

That is their normal procedure.

Oh okay. Drivers hardly want to drop vehicles in December. Was looking in that direction too.

The gentleman that attended to me sounded like vehicle pick ups can be arranged within 5 days, my only issue was the NIN (in view).

Wanted to confirm if johnchrix had completed his application and provided everything, and how long it would take him to pick up.

Baba I'm still awaiting their call for proper registration, N/B they are no more giving out cars for remittances, only on Hp, you drive and own the car after a specific period of time based on the plan you choose.

Men! To get a car dis period to drive no go easy o. I feel for guys looking out for cars.
If only Nigeria and Nigerians are transparent and sincere, most of these car sellers should come to rescue. Some cars have been on car stand for years looking for buyers. But sellers and HP guys go dey fight. Greed go enter!!

Another thing sef...
If u are driving that thieves and murderers magnet ( 03-08) Corolla, may ur prayer request be to change the car to the one that is not in demand and expensive.
It better to be alive and hustling in another model and brand, highest u go dey visit workshop, but u go dey alive for ur loved ones. Than to be cut short of life.

Wishing everyone a bountiful season as Xmas rush is approaching. Fight nor quarrel with no one. If e no click, bounce the request and wait for another.

Gracias!!! Comrades!

Moove is for hardworking guys o. Cos the average company drivers I hv met are laid back o.

Are you working 7 days a week for that 80k monthly. If not, rentals is your best option n not HP.

On rental, you will make more than your salary, but note, you will also work your ass off too.

Cos most regular company drivers don't really drive around Lagos, some days sef, they might just shuttle around their vicinity n close for the day.

2 different ball games.

On ehailing, you will see money, but you must be ready to drive too.

You can't compare. An average oyibo man is straight forward and honest.

A lot of people here don't have empathy. Someone struggles to scrape up funds for a car to help the family, they give you the car as a young man to work with.

Boom, they forget the person that facilitated the tool. Week after week, they give excuses.

It depends on what you do na that will make ur boss vex,
If u get rental , hope u know u indirectly have a boss too.
Hope u will not default payment , rough-handle his vehicle and show dishonest behavior and u expect him not to vex.
