Good Morning, nice thread and encouraging posts, I have a degree in Mathematics and 5-6 years post experience in facility/property management, how can I take advantage of this,
P.S: I have sought/applied for jobs that fit my description to some companies in the UK,all to no avail, any help pointing how to get a job in the UK will be a welcome, thanks ..

Hi,
With mathematics I think you should just try and get certifications that will qualify you as a teacher. I assume teaching professionals are still in the shortage occupation list. That will give you a better chance. Because if you do not work in healthcare and have no certificate to prove that you studied a health care course, you will be scored zero at the skill level and that won’t get you a visa except you have a PhD certificate that gives you 20points to make up for it. It’s a point based system and the above has been a problem for many at the visa stage of the process.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for the response bro. I would not like to decide for you but you can always claim to go Xmas holiday in any country that is not on red list. As regards boarding, as long as you're on a work visa, you should not be denied boarding. All the best in your sojourn in the UK. My HAC visa should be out before the end of the year too, hopefully.

I don't think it is necessary to post the employer, for security and privacy reasons.

Suggestions please will be appreciated. Verbal offer has been given. Can one use a friend's address in the UK?

Your inputs please...

Read on the gov.uk that NhS staff resuming work in the uk are exempted if the trust is providing an arranged accommodation. You may want to read further and ask employer before booking an hotel.

Please do you mind if I asked what your qualification or experience are to qualify you for the visa? I’m asking because my sister studied microbiology and I’ve been thinking how she could get a senior health care job with her qualification. Thanks.

There is hope for virtually all health professions. For every health professional trained outside the UK, all you have to do is to google how to become a 'your profession' in the UK, or how to register as a 'your profession' in the UK. You'll then see the name of the UK regulatory body/council for your profession (eg. HCPC, and NMC) which you need to register with first, and then apply for UK jobs.

UK needs Microbiologists too. Find out how they can register and apply as a Microbiologist.

This is true on the site but these airlines do things differently. They request one must show receipt of quarantine booking b4 boarding even if you tell them Nurses employed by NHS are exempted from paying if their Trust provides them with quarantine.

This is not difficult. Get your trust to issue you an official letter and print out the government's guidance and exemption from gov.uk. Arrive at the airport on time to give ample time to sort things out.

These airlines here do not want to hear that sadly. All they know is that you must present an invoice showing you've paid.

Get registered on GPhC, then you can apply to and work in the UK.
