These guys take drivers as fools, they are indirectly pushing to 23 percent commission but they know if they say it drivers won't agree, so they resorted to using subtle means to do so.

I had a very terrible experience with a rider this evening.

This man ordered me at Makoko community in Yaba area. He was going to the airport When I got there, he came out with a lady carrying two bags. I opened the trunk from inside and they put the bags and closed the trunk.

The man came and sat in front of the car but refused to close the door. He started asking me why I didn't come down to open the trunk for him. That, is he not paying for the trip, that I am not doing him a favour. So many trashes.

I told him that I opened the trunk from inside and I am already seated in the car so? He then said that he will cancel the trip. I told him that with all pleasure, he can cancel it.

The next thing, the man said that I will not take my car out of their estate until I bring his bags out of my car by myself. I came down from the car and he did. When we got to the gate, the estate security men asked me to go outside the gate, I told them that something is wrong with their brain to think that I will leave my car inside their estate and go outside so they will lock me out.

After much back and forth, I just knew the man had home advantage and there's no need dragging further, let me just remove his luggages from my car and move on to other trips.

When I brought his bag out, he started shouting that I have broken things inside the bag with the way I dropped it on the floor. I just entered my car and drove to the gate before those security people opened for me to drive out.

The man was telling me that he left university 35 years ago, that he has a personal driver that he pays 150k monthly. I guess he's use to getting served that he can't differentiate his domestic staff from someone that's there to provide a service and go.

This hustle sha. cry

He was wrong but then most times, the word "sorry" saves a lot of situation. When he refused to lock the door and said you didn't open the trunk or help with their luggage, you would have just said; oh, I'm sorry sir, it was an oversight. I actually opened it from the inside. That would have saved all the stress and talks!

Remember you're rendering a service, a lot of people will mess up, but you need to know how to manage them.

Nigerians have this "ogarity" mentality when they demand a service which they will pay for!

Its the same when you go to a bar and they delay in serving you or they forgot to clean the table or even forgot to give you opener.....you would get upset and talk to the bar man/woman anyhow!

The hustle no easy! Rendering a service means you're serving people and making money at the same time. Serve with respect, humility and patience!

Chia! Why bolt no dey give these kind riders to me na! grin can u imagine!

I called bolt customer care today and from the response ingot from the correspondent it obvious we drivers are just letting every single issue slide without leaving a review or a report. You can imagine Bolt correspondent didnt believe there are riders with 3.0 rating still making requests on their app.

Stupid app, stupid riders! 80% of your riders are I'll-mannered and rogue... That's what i told the correspondent. That was the very first time I'd to put a call throw Bolt and I'm happy I defined their stupidity to them.

For goodness sake, how would you order a ride and a Benz pulled over, greeted you, you say in front, started making phone calls while I mind my business, you demanded some money to buy something and I gave you (after all I can afford to marry you, feed u with any kids u have and ur family included self), now, I followed d map for some reason you said I took a wrong turn, trip ended I reminded you of the money I lend you, you did a transfer and left with a frozen face like I dashed you the money.

The next thing my rating dropped afterwards my account got blocked. Isn't the app stupid? So it's a crime to ask for my money abi?

Bolt...

Atleast this give me opportunity to explore 2% with Uber.

Boss you’ve been in this game for so long…

Never borrow rider money no matter How sweet talk from riders talk… thank God say you remember to collect your money sometimes you might forge or he or she do a fake transfer to you…

By the way, riders in Nigeria rate you base on 3-4 categories

1. They rate you base on their emotions (what’s happening to them by that moment. You can’t expect a rider to rate you good while he/she just got sacked/lose good appointment)

2. Rider rate you base on promos they get (imagine 50% promos ride fare is 1000 collect 500 naira from rider it’s obvious you’ll get your 5stars)

3. Rider rate you based on price (you can’t expect rider to give you 5 stars when he/she booked you on 1.9 surge from Berger to Ajah 15-17k trip wey be 7k na 1 star go surfer am)

4. The I don’t know how to rate (these categories will just start rating you from 1-5 some will even say I give you 1 star cos they hope is the highest)

Fact I wanna let you know is that in naija majority really don’t care about how fine your car or latest your car is. All they want is good ac and make them no Dey hear one thing or two things for shocks.

If you drive 2095 Range Rover in naija and you put am for Uber, person wey go envy you and rate you for -1 star plenty pass the one wey go give you 5 stars.

This is Nigeria

Cheers bro I hope bolt unblock you soon

Nigerians with self entitlement mentality. They don’t want to do anything at all

My experience so far for this December is hell…
Rider will be asking shitty questions like:

Where’s your car?
Where are you?
Reverse back
Go front
Turn left
Open booth
Come down
Is this you
What’s your number plate
What’s your car color
Is your car yellow, orange, lemon or limca?
Is this you?
Your car is gold but it’s doesn’t look like gold
Can you carry 2 bags of rice?
Don’t follow map I’ll direct you (gbam una both find una self inside traffic)
Noooo I’m in number 2 not 5 turn back (but it’s just 2 houses ahead now)
Oga why are you driving sluggish (80km/h is sluggish)
Oga you’re over-speeding

You can’t satisfied Nigerians

Toyota corolla; A very reliable brand.

Can I drive it on ehailing? Yes, only between 7am and 7pm.

Driving a corolla at night or during wee hours is dangerous and risky.
All your sense organs must be alert.

Some drivers even sleep inside their corolla.
May God help us all!!!

Other alternative brands:
Toyota matrix, Honda City, Honda civic, hyundai elantra (America spec), kia rio (America spec), Peugeot 406, Nissan tida/ versa, VW golf (diesel), vw passat (diesel), Toyota camry, mB c180, e t.c.
