Insecurity has limited travels and trips... Yet Nigerian fuel import increases... truly, be deceiving yourselves. 23 Likes 3 Shares |

Kukuma remove the subsidy, if we can have a dollar of less than $1 = <N200 Poorer countries have been living well with pump price of more than N500 per litre of petrol but a very stable and favorable exchange rate! What is the essence of petrol less than N200 and dollar above N500 import based economy? We need a wholistic approach to a different new idea. If you gerrit fine, if you don gerrit forget abourit. I know say some people will insult me but I know say no be everybody get sense to my level as a world class economist. Oya make we dey jolly dey go no dulling 1 Like 1 Share

Government of other countries changes policies and the first thing the citizens think about is to challenge the government. In Nigeria, the citizens look for ways to suffer more in other to adapt to the change. You see them downgrading their lifestyle, suffering and smiling, thinking they are strong motherf*ckers. 18 Likes 3 Shares |

⭕️The truth is that Buhari has just filled up key positions with dumb, incompetent people who do not know the dynamic interplay of domestic or global economics or commerce. ⭕️That Fulani Minister of Finance is just a regular unexposed civil servant who lacks the capacity to fashion out relevant policies to advance the national economy ⭕️All she knows is to tax or borrow!! 2 Likes |

Esseite: Well said I don't really understand how these people arrive at this laughable conclusion We need to be honest with ourselves, there's no reason for us to be importing already refined fuel Despite massive loan taken by this administration, our refinery is still in this sorry state It's quite unfortunate 1 Like |

For those wondering why..the simple reason is this Smuggling. Fuel is dirt cheap in Nigeria, and elsewhere in West Africa costs between N350 to N450 Thus, anyone with acumen can go and buy subsidised petrol here...and sell it across the border. Think that border controls would work? THink again...Venezuela has the same problem. Fuel costs N10 per liter there, and higher in all its neighbors. As a result, Venezuela loses 18 BILLION dollars annually. And the reason why we are importing is that subsides basically forced NNPC to operate at a loss for years to keep fuel cheap...meaning that there wasn't enough profit to fix refineries. And Dangote is not coming to save us. It costs over N200 to refine one liter of fuel...which we sell for N165. Subsidy is what we pay to compensate for the resulting loss. 4 Likes 3 Shares
