Thank you all so much , I have been staring at my phone ehn like is this for real!!! My first application was February 20 2021 I got rejected on July 26th 2021 due to personal asset and financial status which when my gcm notes came they said there was a lump sum before the rejection sef I had a PFL about a chargeback because I used an agent and I had to repay the money and sincerely apologize and explain everything. My second was September 17 2021 I am suppose to be going for winter 2022 in conestoga college for food processing and quality assurance, it’s a year course( I studied industrial chemistry at the the BSC level) but I have already deferred the admission to fall 2022 before my PPR came today tho I still haven’t even gotten a new letter of admission. So what we did different with the second application was that first of all my dad was my only sponsor in the first application so we made my mum a co sponsor this time( close statement of about 15million for both of them), we attached my dads landed documents and explained the exact lump sum of 8million which they had an issue with( it was a liquidation of a fixed deposit) so we attached the certificate for the liquidation. Other documents submitted -My bank statement for my mum and dads for 1 year -a notarized letter of sponsorship from them - an affidavit of support from both of them -landed documents stating how much my dad collects in rent annually -admission letter for winter 2022 -first semester tuition payment receipt -professional certification in food processing -Microsoft certificate -waec result -university transcript -statement of result -ielts general with band 8 -emedical slip from my first medical -a letter from a pharmacy I did internship -my dad’s retirement papers - my mum’s CAC papers for her business I think that’s all I actually used an agent the second time but she was even surprised the amount of knowledge I already had about the whole process and I solely got from here. I honestly thank God because ehn this time I didn’t really put my mind, I even stopped checking my account for weeks and just decided that it was really my time I will go. Thank you to everyone here you guys are sincerely good people, taking out time to answer our numerous questions and even giving out encouragement. God bless all of you truly and you all shall speedily receive your own testimony. Please oh I live in Benin and I did my biometrics in Abuja, I want to send my passport on Monday How do I go about it? 30 Likes |

Congratulations @Aissy. Indeed, it has ended in praise. To send your passport to Abuja, you'll need to use a courier service (DHL or UPS). Attach your Passport, Passport request letter, 2 photocopies of your passport bio-data page, biometrics slip, consent letter you got during biometrics, pay for the courier. You won't need to pay money to VFS Abuja since you did your biometrics there. Also, write your name, address and phone number on an A4 paper. Add these in an envelope then send through the courier, they'll send the documents to VFS Abuja and also deliver it to you when it's stamped. VFS Abuja address: 3rd Floor, Plot, Sterling Bank Plaza, 1083 Mohammadu Buhari Way, Central Business District 900211, Abuja Aissy: 5 Likes 1 Share |

Well, “Modest” means little or not enough. So I think this means the funds you have available won’t be enough to cover your tuition and living expenses: MJ1000: |

Hi all! I'm a graduate student at the University of Saskatchewan (currently in Saskatoon), looking for another graduate student, someone studious, resuming in Winter 2022 to pair with as flatmates. Preferably a guy, but wouldn't mind sharing with a lady though. Ethnicity isn't of concern to me (e no epp anybody). If you're interested, please DM me. 6 Likes |

How much was your school fees plus living expenses? one or 2 year course? Also, who's your sponsor to you? Does he/she have other dependants? Maybe the VO factored how much of the sponsor's earnings and other responsibilities compared to the amount needed for study and thought it modest. MJ1000: |

Hello Kenn I will ask some questions to know how to further advise you.... Is she a Minor? What year did she get a 1st degree? Since you said she doesn't have a job, what has she been doing since she graduated? Are your parents also in Canada or in Nigeria? Peace Kenn55: |

Hello MJ Based on what you have shown as your finances they believe that spending the amount of money on your proposed course would not be reasonable. You will need to explain why you are spending so much on the said course, the Visa Officer may feel you have the said course also in your home country, so why not study in your home country which will be way cheaper compared to studying the course in Canada which is way too expensive... So it's your duty to state why you are spending so much to study this course, dwell on the importance of studying this course to your career, and also the benefits the course offers in your home country after the completion of the proposed program.. Also, what were your tuition + living cost, and how much proof of finance did you declare. Peace MJ1000: 1 Like |

Hello, welcome to Canada. Please explain this again cause it is not the interpretation of all the updates we have been getting from them on this ban. What status of visa did you with? Were you in Canada before now or you travelled for the first time? Also did you go from Nigeria to Gambia before proceeding to Canada? Madeincanada: 2 Likes |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by viviangogos(f): 6:14am On Dec 10, 2021 |
Hmmm , but this is what the PR and Canadians from the ban countries are allowed to do. And also the other foreign nationals from other countries not on ban list.... We hope it was not an oversight from the CBSA officer that checked him shaa before they turn someone back like this. He should give us more info shaa. SomBaby: 1 Like |
