OP, where in particular is this area and which towns or villages are on both ends of the road.

I ask because I want to know which route to take back home in two weeks time. This road looks like the one that leads to Okigwe axis of the Enugu PH expressway.

Hmmm. That's serious.

That's a shortcut for me when traveling... Though some portions were bad the last time I used it last year.

That's their domain.
But I think it's a Fulani and Igbo partnership business.
The uninhabited land between Ideato North And Okigwe LGA of IMO state is where they stay.
They dress with full face masks.
They match their victims into their hideout.
They operate mostly on Thursdays and Fridays .
The Okigwe -AroNdizuogu road, off Enugu/Portharcourt express way.

For real? This is even more serious than I thought... I used that road like twice last year without these concerns...

Do you know if they have fixed some of the failed portions of the road?

these are the vigilante groups Nigeria terrorist army and police are killing in the name of looking for ESN. Stop killing our Virgil groups.

In Biafraland we have formidable vigilante groups that are ever ready to protect their community.

They haven't fixed anything.
If you drive exotic car, I suggest you go through Uga-Umuchu-Umunze-Isuochi-Leru Junction.
Or you drive through Nneato-Lomara Isuochi to Leru junction.
There are not always there
But they can appear unannounced.
The road is badly damaged now and they took advantage of the slow drive caused by the bad road to operate.

Thanks Bro, I've been using the Umuchu-Uga-Isuochi in the past. I think I'll revert to it

That road also has some failed portions too. Some parts are so lonely too.

I just like the sincerity of the CSO reporting. Only the truth can save us all. He said there are two set of groups one is made up of the Fulanis and the other is made up of Igbos. This information should help the appropriate authorities in doing the needful to ensure safe passage of people on that route.

But it's better and safer, even though it's longer.
It's the route that Onitsha South mass transit is plying right now.
You can choose to drive through Nneato by diverting @ Owerri-Ezukalla through Umuchukwu -Nneato -Spiritan University -Leru junction.
Or you follow Isuochi straight, maybe on reaching Nkwoagu Isuochi (Ummuneochi LGA headquarters), u take your right and drive through Ngodo Isuochi to a round about where you will see military check point and roads leading to Leru junction[Enugu-PH Exp], Ihube Okigwe [ Enugu-PH Exp] and also back to Spiritan University - Nneato -Umuchukwu-Owerre Ezukalla.
Those routes are good and safe.
The other route from Nkwoagu Isuochi if you take left is lonely towards the hill, maybe safe in the day time but may not at night.
Safe trip

Many thanks Bro, truth is I don't know the first road.
I tried locating it once (two years ago) but the person I asked for directions didn't help matters. My wife and I then chose to continue with he third option you listed. Which we know too well.

As fọr the second one, I feel it may be longer compared to the third one. If I get to Nkwoagu, going through Ngodo and then turning left towards the express may be way too long. Though I know that route, I feel it's longer. But I may consider it if it is the safest anyways.

The third option is the favorite for now. Unless the first is shorter and safer, then I'll make more serious enquires in how to get it right.

I appreciate you!

Every community have their vigilante group that have nothing to with ESN and of course ESN will attack them whenever they come in contact with them because ESN is outlawed while Vigilante is legiit.

Just watch out, you will soon hear about Army inversion and bombardment of Arondizuogu and destruction of their properties, as usual they will tell us that they're looking for ESN. That's to tell you that Nigeria Government are the sponsors of terrorism against their own supposed subjecs.

The first one is shorter and safer (in the sense that it doesn't have too many lonely portions).

But no where is fully safe, lecturers in Spiritan University have been known to have been kidnapped by suspected Fulani Herdsmen in that Spiritan University road portion.

The whole Okigwe/Umunneochi is crawling with Fulani Herdsmen, because of the cattle market and settlement at Lokpa-nta in Umunneochi.

The key to being safe in these routes is to avoid night travel.

Arondizuogu Vigilante is a registered organisation.
That portion "ikpa ora" is a large unoccupied, valley, thick forest area where fulanis camp. There was a period that kidnapping was place per second per second before the vigilante organisation was formed and tacked them, some of the kidnappers were caught but their leader, an imolite, escaped to Ghana, later came back and was caught.
As the CSO said, fulani bandits and igbo bandits operate on that area.
