Which area of Nigeria hasnt taken a worse turn in the last few years?

The way you and your paid, online-propagandists dish out glaring lies and untruths is baffling.

We still remember not long ago this country was given a proper name by former US president.... a shit hole.

Many African countries have recently started to repatriate Nigerians from their countries. This was unheard of before.

Is it a bad thing that Govt is doing its best to protect AirPeaace and other business? If they do nothing, you and other will still wail that Govt is not protecting Igbo businesses. Make una dey clam down

...the UK and the every other ban is a game of politics, Nigeria was in the race for the IMO Category C seat and we have the best chance to win that sit because of the success we recorded in the maritime sector not just on Nigerian waters but up to the Gulf of Guinea, A week to the election is when all those banning started falling-in hence the Nigerian Contingent that have make so much effort throughout the year because Nigeria plan to attain this seat since we lost out the last time, the reason FG invest heavily in maritime security, the team could not travel and the election is holding physically in London, we couldn't be on ground to further our campaign. and the Ministry of Health did not help by announcing the discovery of Omicron at that crucial time.
Now, how would the Category C help Nigerians, the Nigeria Govt. through NIMASA have been campaigning for the removal of War Risk Insurance from Nigeria bound cargo (simply means shippers paid quadruple of whatever they are suppose to paid on any goods coming to Nigeria, which is directly or indirectly paid by the consumer you and i) been a council member gives us a better chance of getting the reduction and we can also leverage on this when making our case with International Trade Organization and International Chambers of Shipping.
Nigerian govt is making effort if you don't know you don't know, the pace might be slow but people are asking questions and making effort. that is the reason FG bite back at the UAE, i expect them to also bite the other nations too (maybe a subtle bite) you cant help other nations to keep us in their net and claim to be our friend.

NGpatriot:

They are not confused, countries go through this kind of spat all the time, it's all about national interest and trade advantage.

Before now, these countries treat us like scum, they take advantage of us and our businesses, they threaten our jobs and progress, but not, we are using our own leverage, we are standing up to protect our own national interest, protecting our businesses and Nigerian jobs, same thing they are doing for their country.

At the end of the day, they'll work it out, the icing on the cake is the fact that we sent a strong message to countries like the UAE that Nigeria is ready to fight to protect her interest.

The UK i also about to drop their dumb apartheid red list.

If you don't fight, they'll walk all over you as if you are nothing but a piece of shit1

My opinion is that a lot of nigerian youths are very ignorant and will be worse than the current generation of nigerian leaders. An aviation leader (Dr. Alex) yesterday calculated the trade deficit on the Nigeria-UAE route and it came up to about $500 million in favour of the UAE. In situations like this nigerians ought to look beyond the luxuries of dubai/emirates airline and push for the BASA to be re-negotiated to reduce the trade deficit. But here people are bashing and bashing the FG for taking a firm stand.

These reflect my thoughts as well. The present crop of youth voices in the public domain is worrisome if it reflects the potential future of Nigerian leadership.

Ignorance is not the problem, its the arrogance that comes with their ignorance and refusal to learn that theres a systematic way states are run and managed. And that this is unique to each country.

Its annoying tobsee that arrogance excused with the supposed more important credential of youth voices.

The solution is to counter the arrogant and ignorant voices with knowledge on the right processes as much as possible through fora such as this. For all you know that may be the only knowledge they will aqquire for future engagement on such topics. But its better than nothing

grin Why did we pump in 1983? Am confused because Buhari was head of state then so we could have dumped that year

No we didn’t pump in 1983. We were at our peak before the despot took over, then we went downhill from there

Werey so am a juvenile ..lol
The foolish of many you foolish Igbos never cease to amuse me.

Biafrarep:

Lalasticala & Mynd 44, has it become official that any misguided juvenile can come on this platform and insult an ethnic group, Igbos recklessly?

I'm Igbo and supported both Buhari and Hadi Sariki during the diplomatic row with UAE over the maltreatment of Airpeace and in extension, an insult on Nigeria.

Likewise, I saw some monikers who are apparently not Igbos but were against the policy by Nigerian government, yet this juvenile had to profile Igbos for unwarranted insult.

If this guy is not appropriately banned, then it would be unfair to ban others when they respond in kind.

Like I stated early here is an example from the many foolish Igbos I mentioned. This dull head does not understand many foolish Igbos is not same as all Igbo or maybe you simply will love to argue against my statement for arguing sake or probably you do understand many foolish Igbo translate to all Igbos in the long run judging from how difficult it is to see any Igbo with common sense on NL this days

so it was Igbos only that criticized the government over this and not collectively Nigerians? E no go better for you
