This is a reply to an earlier thread created by AsomArchitechNG posting some of buildings that do not do justice to the billions of naira and dollars being expended on the capital city neglecting other parts of the country. Here is the link to his post https://www.nairaland.com/6889716/10-most-beautiful-buildings-abuja Those of us that have traversed the whole capital city due to the nature of our job will disagree with that list. Not taking it from him, some of the buildings are beautiful comparatively. But the ones below are eye popping which are just fragments of the architectural masterpieces buildings being erected in 'The Most Modern' Nigeria city cum Africa. Before I start I will like to dispel his number one post about the ECOWAS Parliament Building, that building is not in Nigeria but Togo republic. In no particular order, here are some the most eye catching buildings in the FCT. 21 Likes 4 Shares

1. The First building is the World Trade Centre, a complex of five skyscrapers just after the national stadium. Currently, two buildings are completed on the complex with about three more under constructions, but the construction is currently stalled, maybe due to cash crunch affecting everybody. 2. This one is the headquarters of the Nigerian Communications Commission. 16 Likes 4 Shares

Those are just the few my mind could remember now. Just know that Abuja as a city itself is a major construction site with cranes, caterpillars and other heavy duty equipment putting up mouth opening structures across the city, some of this structures are completed with others still coming up. Note: most of those structures are not even put to complete use yet. Some of the completed and ongoing structures can be seen below. The first two, is the almost completed Cathedral of the 12 Apostles, Abuja. The third is Glory Dome, the headquarters of Dunamis. The last is the renders for the ongoing Headquarters of Departments of Petroleum Resources, Abuja. Building wey for dey for Niger - Delta 7 Likes 2 Shares
