Considering the mindless looting of state treasury by politicians in Nigeria since we return to democracy in 1999 till date and the inability of our justice system to punish them is really sad, they will later hide under the law and claim some useless rights and freedoms.

These looters are so powerful than the institutions of government, military regime is not to be considered at all in a civilized society, but Nigeria is like a banana republic.

There's also serious corruption under military rule, sani abacha comes to mind, they will loot everything unchallenged, they don't care about the fundamental human rights of the citizens.
But the different military administrations in Nigeria were able to execute a lot of landmark projects in the past which the current civilian government in Nigeria is yet to surpass.

Democracy is working in America, though they also have their own challenges, for example (the emergence of Donald trump)
Dictatorship is working in China as well, they've made tremendous growth in every aspect of life.

Should Nigeria switch over to parliamentary system or what should we practice considering our peculiarity and complex nature? Some people have said that the worst form of democracy is better than the best dictatorship, how true is that? What can you say about Rwanda under Paul kagame?
