Good morning all... I am new on this thread, I've been following other travel threads though. Pls I would like gurus in the house to advice me on the best program to do. My Bsc is in Biochemistry I have an MBA I have been doing a few agricultural work since last year (self employed) and i would like to do a course related to food processing, agriculture and value chain management so that afterwards i can proceed to a PhD. Since my Masters is a professional degree i cant do a PhD with it. I need your advice on how to go about getting this Msc admission, the school options and possible funding. Thank you very much. 2 Likes |

TiminimiNas: Your area of interest is not related to biochemistry therefore I dont think you should pursue a masters in biochemisty. In addition, you do not have a work experience in biochemistry which will make your visa application more difficult. I will recommend you consider supply chain or Quality assurance courses PGD level as its related to your area of interest as long as you have evidence to backup the work experience. Universities will not admit you into masters in biochemistry as you do not possess a work experience in that field. At the visa stage, do not include or mention you have a masters already. Non-Nigerians are welcome in nairaland if they need help. But you can’t come to our Nigerian platform and be a troll. Mr Wizzzzmike please if you don’t like Nigerians go and create Cediland. I don’t even know how this guy has not been kicked out nairaland. I’ve gone through his posts and he even calls Nigerians slave. Just take a look at his comments on other nairaland topics 1 Like 1 Share

Anon123: Does it mean one must have relevant work experience to be admitted into masters program? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Anon123: 12:26pm On Dec 15, 2021 |
PATLIVCOSMETICS: One of the major requirements for an admission is your CV. So, yes... it is vital to tilt the admission decision your side |

Good day all... Pls I would like you all to advice and assist me on the best program to do. My Bsc is in Chemical Engineering I have work experience but not in chemical engineering, more of customer service. I’m currently training to better my experience in python, data analysis(though no work experience yet) I’m looking for fully funded scholarships to apply to in Canada but I don’t know the course I should go for. Do I do masters in chemical engineering or should I go for data analysis. Please, I need your advice on how to go about getting my Msc admission, the school options and possible funding. Thank you very much. |

amila20042001: Even if you apply and get admitted, the visa officer during visa stage will be thorough because you have to show evidence of current employment. 1 Like |

Immacharles: If you dont have experience in chemistry, try to either work on making that experience available or go for the course you have work experience background on. Admission isnt a major issue but come visa time, the visa officer needs evidence of employment like employment letter, ID card etc. So I recommend focusing on a course you have experience and flair in. 1 Like 1 Share |

heydamiejay:This is quite a spectacular case. I often advise applicants to invest what's attainable while they hope for the best. A former VO once told me that he picked an interest in a certain applicant because they share a first name. Sometimes, the Visa Officer's perception of you speaks louder than your bulky documents. I'm sure your study permit wasn't mistakenly approved. You made a great impression in one way or the other. Congratulations! I pray for a similar favour for other applicants. 9 Likes |

I guess your best bet is to look for people to share a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment with. In this case, you would be the one to select your housemates, and not the other way round. I cried severally and at some point started regretting why I even came with my son in the first place, it's well. I wish you the best

Same here i cried when there was too many rejections. I regretted coming to Canada with my baby. Thank God i have found place. |

My people, GOD DID IT! A do-not-reply email from cic dropped this morning at 09:39AM and a second one dropped at 09:45AM, I was scared to my bone. I had to sum up the courage to sign in to my account to check. My people, application approved! I return all the glory to God and say a big thank you to everyone here. You guys kept me busy during the wait because I kept coming here to read the testimonies. I stumbled on this platform in June, 2021 and somehow contacted a few persons whose names were referenced. Of all the people I contacted, @Frankrobbn1 gave me the hope to go on this journey. I kept asking him, Frank are you sure? He may have even been tired of me asking. I just want to say thank you, Frank and may God bless you richly. I am 44 years old just so you know. MBA Universitity Canada West. My School resumption date is January 10, 2022. I applied with my 5 year old daughter. Though hers is yet to be approved, I know it will come. I watched @Blavkmaann video on youtube where he was celebrating the submission of his term paper and said some words of prayers. While the prayers were going on, I felt the urge to place my hand on my phone. He got to a point where he made this pronouncement “If you’re not in the abroad ….. may the person handling your visa application approve it in the Mighty name of Jesus.” I shouted Amen. The unction was so strong and at that point I knew it was a done deal. To everyone waiting, yours will surely come. Just find ways to take your mind off it. For those who have been delayed, as I’ve come to learn on this platform, Request for your notes, Re-package and Re-fire.
