A move to redefine the term fully vaccinated as three shots of Pfizer or Moderna is “on the table,” Dr. Anthony Fauci said Friday.

The Centre for Disease Control and Prevention is open to changing the definition to include a booster shot for the two-dose vaccines, the White House’s chief medical advisor told CNBC.

“There’s no doubt that optimum vaccination is with a booster,” Fauci said on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.” “Whether or not the CDC is going to change that, it certainly is on the table and open for discussion.”

President Biden on Thursday signed into law a bill that aims to punish China for human rights abuses against ethnic and religious minorities in the Xinjiang region.

The bipartisan legislation, which passed the Senate by unanimous consent last week, bans imports of goods from China’s Xinjiang region unless individuals or companies demonstrate that the materials were made without forced labor.

The bill, called the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, is the latest effort by the U.S. to punish China for alleged abuse of millions of Uyghurs and other Muslim minorities in Xinjiang. The U.S. has accused China of committing genocide against Uyghurs.

'Trump is a fraud!' Disillusioned supporters rage after being denied service at Trump Grill over vax mandate

Some supporters of former President Donald Trump were left disillusioned when they tried to eat at the grill located in Trump Tower, only to be denied service for not being able to show proof of vaccination.

The supporters filmed a video of their ordeal, in which a security officer explained to them that they needed to show proof of vaccination in order to get service.

"They're under a mandate," the officer said of the restaurant. "They don't want to get in trouble... In any case, right now I'll tell you now, they aren't going to seat you."

"Trump is a fraud if he enforces this!" one upset supporter can be heard saying as the officer spoke.

Despite more signs of persistent inflation. U.S. stocks finished strong following encouraging reports on durable goods and jobless claims and fading omicron fears.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 196.67 points, or 0.5%, while the S&P 500 rose 0.6% to a record close and the Nasdaq Composite jumped 0.8%. U.S. markets are up more than 1.6% for the week.

In economic data: Durable Goods, sales of big-ticket items, rebounded by 2.5% after rising just 0.1% in the prior month. The data backs up the latest Consumer Confidence Index which showed an uptick in spending plans over the next six months.

Personal income and spending also rose with spending up 0.6% and income up 0.4%.

On inflation, core personal consumption expenditures, which remove volatile food and energy prices, are also anticipated to jump 0.5% month-over-month in November. The year-over-year change in core PCE, which is the Federal Reserve’s preferred measure of inflation, rose 4.7%, the highest reading in almost 33 years.
