Starzo: Since u’ve really done ur research I expected you to briefly answer this simple questions than to refer me to some hogwash blogs…that’s why I intentionally asked the question which medium do u supply us electricity cos it’s fallacy n I’m beginning to understand why ur leaders take u for a ride… Nigeria only supplied Ghana n indeed west Africa Gas through the pipeline project don’t confuse that with electricity oga n am not even sure we still need it since Gas has been discovered in large quantities in our ”atuabo” offshore. |

how did gas supply amount to begging? do you know the number of countries nigeria supplies gas to? nigeria supplies LNG gas to many many countries, including japan, china, india etc etc It is strictly business. they buy the gas and pay you hard cash. Or will you rather keep the gas in nigeria and inhale it till you all yamutu? It is strictly business. The gas sales agreement nigeria has with Ghana is a long term contract. Under the contract, Ghana is required to buy the gas over a 25-year period, whether Ghana needs it or not. That was needed to safeguard the investment in building the pipelines etc ghana contributed to the project and therefore owns a share in the pipeline. Under the contract, Nigeria is supposed to supply 120MM scf of gas daily to Ghana. Typically, they even struggle to provide half of that volume. But Ghana has its own gas so it doesn't really that gas from Nigeria that much. [s] Starzo:[/s] 2 Likes |

BleedTears: You make it sound as if the people in power, as if those in government or the politicians we have here are from another country or continent or even from Mars. Where do those people in power come from? Are they not Nigerians? Our leaders where are they picked from? Isn’t it from among the people, from among Nigerians? Everyone is complaining government this, government that but when they get a sniff of power, they do no different from those currently on power stealing and looting the resources. Go to Nigerian embassies across the world and see the level of corruption there. From the consulate in New York to the Nigerian embassy in South Africa, bribery and corruption abounds there like no man’s business. But what do we do, blame Buhari but the people who do these things at the embassies and consulates are picked from Nigeria and they are given visas and they fly over to their respective countries of assignments and blend seamlessly into the corrupt machinery already in place at the embassy or consulate. If you ask them, they would say “wetin man go do na?”, “na for person dey work, na im e dey chop”. Look at the immigration system in Nigeria. Bribery and corruption is in full effect in that section of the country just as it is in all other. To the extent that some even started resorting to begging at the airports. But instead of us to look inwardly at ourselves as being the cause, as usual we would blame Buhari or the minister of Interior as if we are any different from them. From the local government to the federal, corruption is the order of the day. We complain and complain but when we get there we do no different. Yet we expect that after electing into office some of the most corrupt among us either due to sentiments based on religion, ethnic or political affiliation or the little bag of rice, cooking oil and 2000 Naira they gave us, they would perform miracles when they get to power. Until we begin looking at the man and woman in the mirror and taking responsibility for our failure as a people and seek ways to seek amend and try better options or better ways of doing things moving forward, Nigeria is not going anywhere developmentally. No wonder we take one step forward and three steps backward and we would be hoping God would come down from heaven and do for us what he has already given us the power to do for ourselves. Bottom line is, you can’t give what you don’t have. A corrupt people would only produce corrupt leaders. Our leaders are only but a reflection of who we are as a people. Yes there are corrupt and evil people in every country. No doubt there ar scammers in every corner of the earth but compare that to the level it is in this country? A society that glorifies scammers, we even have a fancy name for them “Yahoo boys”. I am sure Nollywood has a movie on them and it was promptly approved by the so called film and media censor board of the country. A society where people never hesitate to turn a blind eye to those creating a bad name for the country in the name of ‘hustling’. A country where internet scammers can easily bribe their way out of a case even when they are caught red handed in the act. Yes there are scammers in every country but our own is on a whole different and even higher level. |

Thank you. God bless you. By the way, are you a Nigerian? Nigeria needs more people like you, walahi. They need to hear the truth more often so they can change. Nigerians like to deceive themselves. They like to pretend all is well when all is not well Nigerians will pretend to be rich when they are not. small breeze blow like this and fowl nyash go dey exposed I pray Nigerians change their attitude and behaviour so the rest of the world can live with them. They talk about their leaders as if they dropped from the skies every country deserves the leaders it gets Nigerians are as guilty as their leaders. The fist time I went to Nigeria, I was struck by the level of indiscipline of a typical Nigerian. And they think it shows that they are smart and confident oponu freshalien: 1 Like |

It is this type of attitude that has brought your country to where it is today. arrogant, boastful and poorly informed. Ghana is not a "western" country and has never pretended to be. But in Ghana, people are not being kidnapped upanddown, for a ransom of a bottle of coke and gala Life expectancy in Ghana is not 45 years as in that zoo In Ghana, children attend school free to university level. In fact, Ghanaian school children are being fed and clothed by the state You will be shocked to know that 15 million nigerian children are roaming the streets in that country and out of school Take a look at the United Nations Human Development Index. You will weep for nigeria How many hours of electricity do you get in that zoo? what is infant and maternal mortality in nigeria, compared with Ghana? How many Nigerians are gainfully employed, compared with Ghanaians? which country has been officially designated the headquarters of global poverty? by the way, it is not Ghana [s] Kingzy4pep:[/s] 2 Likes

I always say the reason Nigerians are having problems in Ghana is because of igbos. They don't respect anybody. Yorubas have lived in Ghana for centuries and Ghanaians didn't have any major problem with them, but the igbos who arrived recently are the ones looking for trouble and getting trouble in return. You give Ghanaman trouble in his country, he will give you double trouble, walahi Swanzi: 3 Likes |
