The mistake you did here was applying online. You should have gone to their office and find someone who would help you do it. Bribe him or her also. Sadly, this is the situation which we found ourselves. My sister did her 32 booklets at 22.5 at 2018, got it within 2 days. I did my 64 booklets at 80k bribe inclusive early this year. Just know someone physically.

If you want to get your passport on time... forget that 22k... go and meet them in the office... this period is hard.... you will pay up to 70k for normal or 100k for fast track.....

i tried online and waited nearly 2years abroad....when nothing happened i went to the embassy and paid directly....

got a new passport in less than 2hours....

6yrs ago, when a human being was still.in charge, I got mine the same day I applied in Abuja.

I applied since March of this year, even paid additional money for express and shit, this is December and I have yet to see my passport. The only excuse? No paper on ground...

Got to abuja ....booked hotel.....the next morning took a cab to their office......gave one uniform officer( igbo man) money....about 75k to 80k..that one took me to another officer wearing no uniform( hausa)...did my capturing for a 10 years passport with 64 pages....it was that day I realised igbo and hausas are friends offline...

Went back to the hotel room...enjoy my air condition....later in the evening I carry some runs babe...repeat same thing the next two days..visited nyanya market...I be nor know say abuja get ghetto..visit wuye, wuse..eat iya oya amala.. went to life camp area...karimu...

On the fourth day boom my 10 years passport is already out

When you apply online, you have deprived the officers from making money, so they frustrate applicants.

I had to fly >2hrs from the Midwest to DC just to renew my passport. I even missed the first day despite getting there by 8:30am. >70 pple were already ahead of me and was told they only attend to the first 50. I had to crash at my sister's in Baltimore and got there at around 6:30am the subsequent day. Yet, 10 pple were ahead of me.

Everything abt 9ja is messed up by these same Nigerians. The dude that took my passport photo is Caribbean. He told me the folks back in 9ja are hoarding the passport booklet thereby making it scarce for them to obtain since pple in 9ja tend to pay more compared to the fixed amount they charge at their Embassies abroad.

Of all the foreign Embassies on that street, na only 9ja Embassy pple full outside dey queue. Others had not a single soul standing outside lest queuing.

Of course, similar 9ja nonsense na him full there. The problem of Nigeria are Nigerians.

Another important question is this:

Did u applied online yourself or through an officer?

Cos your case is similar to that of a person who applied himself through through online payment system.

I applied and paid 41k for 33 pages in awka immigration office anambra state on 8th of September.. My Brethren today is 17th December I never see passport. They said I should pay extra 20k to get it or wait till next year.. For people that voted for buhari.. God wi forgive you but you see those people that still support me, naija is your portion. You will born ashawo and thief in your family.. Finally passport Don show.. Join me and smile.. It came out on 23rd. But I have not collected it.. Na after new year I go collect and begin the proper process of japaing

It is unfortunate but I don't think you have to pay another money for the 32 pages, you paid for 64 pages, all they have to do is take your file to help desk and step it down to 32 pages. Simple!

About the shortage of booklets, I believe it's the fact that the number of applicants in recent years have increased largely and the production of booklets has not been increased to meet the demand. About the time duration of fresh passport, under a normal circumstance, your passport should be ready in 6 weeks from the day of application.

Nigerian passport is imported ,simple ,nothing like production this production that,exchange rate affects that item.
