Nairobi Expressway - at 76.3% completion - all structural work to be done by end of the year - and road to be opened in April. Incredible pace. This will be done in almost 2yrs.
Why are you celebrating roads? Road construction takes place almost everywhere all the time. You are making me feel bad for Kenya.I thought Kenya was rich? you dey fall my hand oh, guy.
Let's talk new industries or Railways, and flyovers, not mere road construction,

Take a chill pill,we are only advising you. Listen we were once like Kenya, but we pulled ourselves y the bootstraps and leap frog that situation. If we can do,then I bet you can also do it. Nobody hates Kenya we just want the best for her.
Our economy was small and refused to grow during the military days, like Kenya's stubborn small economy today. But he is hurt by the truth.

I am suprised you're willing to accept 100B - after shouting hoarse 60B smiley smiley - Kenya budget headed to 60B very soon.

As regard education. Kenya MADE A DELIBERATE DECISION TO INSITUTE MASS FAILURE IN HIGH SCHOOL.

The reason - avoid becoming another Nigeria or India - where everyone focused on going to university - whilst the formal jobs DO NOT EXIST FOR GRADUATES. We had situation previously where university enrollment rose from 120K to 600K....there are thousands if not millions of graduates...who are jobless but due to prestiges cannot do any other job. These people even if they go abroad..are useless...they still have to go university abroad or drive taxis. You will find someone from Lagos or Ibanda university with Master or Phd in Newyork driving a taxi - and bitter as hell.

But imagine if Nigeria was exporting plumbers or mechanics...not university graduates...the mechanic or plumbers with practical vocational will get jobs and earn more. Imagine if manufacturing companies come to Nigeria - and they cannot find trained mechanics...just some folks trained on the job to be mechanics.

Because we are not a ZOO - we decided that has got to change - we are going to focus on VOCATIONAL TRAINING.

We have built about 200 vocational colleges - TIVET - and enrollment has risen now to about 0.5m - and we are targetting 2 million enrollment.

It takes cojones to institute MASS FAILURE like we did and FIX A COUNTRY.

WE DO THAT EVERYTIME because we are not dysfunctional. Even SportPesa that had grown to be congolmerate we killed it as sport betting was becoming unwieldy and dangerous.

US itself cannot even generate jobs for that many graduates...and many of their kids go for vocational training...and here is an african country MASS PRODUCING graduates...and formal sector generates 10K jobs for graduates....Kenya generates formal jobs of 100k...informal jobs of 900K.

The results - you graduate a million - there is barely any job for any graduate - and they emigrate - only to be told - go back to school or drive taxis or sell drugs.

Stop deceiving your fellow Kenyans. Your economy according to the world bank as at 2020 was less than $100bn. How sustainable can that be for a population of 50m? Even with all the overcooking. grin

And in education, some things are just not debatable. Kenyans are failing woefully. How do you explain nurses failing a basic exam on literacy? That's crazy.

And to buttress my point, I have attached data from Little India's Ministry of Education on the poor performance of your final year secondary school students. Look at the high percentage of those scoring below C and D grade.Over 50% failure rate in each category. This is a crying shame. We are not surprised because the average IQ of Little Indians on this thread reveals a lot about your poor education.

Kenya is Africa leader in Geothermal power - and 6th in the world

Kengen in talks with 3 countries for geothermal drilling contracts; DRC, Comoros & Rwanda. This comes after successful & ongoing projects in Ethiopia & Djibouti.

Kengen drilling in Tuli Ethiopia

Kengen Naivasha complex generates about 1,000mw...renewable stable base load energy...that relies on earth crust boiling hot temperatures....to provide power 24-7.

After drilling the wells into the earth crust - water is pumped down - and it immediately erupts as boiling steam that turns the turbines.

Bonobos from the Twin Zoos of Nigeria and Ghana laughing at their tail ends. Progressive countries like Kenya periodically makes needed changes..we passed TIVET act in 2013...and in 2015 - we instituted a mass failure of 2014 class..and shifted focus to TIVET.

Now even those that qualify dont want to go university - under TIVET - you still get higher education loans board - student loans. If the economy cannot generate white collar jobs - why continue to generate millions of graduates? So they can walk the Sahara, become enslaved in Libya, and finally make to Europe to pick tomatos in Italy smiley

Some 15,547 candidates who scored C+ and above in the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination snubbed universities while some opted for diploma and certificate courses like plumbing in technical institutions.

Data from the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) shows 10,707 candidates did not apply for degree courses despite meeting the minimum qualifications.

Another 4,840 preferred Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges to pursue courses in an employment market where university graduates are struggling to get jobs.

The 15,547 candidates accounted for 10.8 percent of the 143,140 students who qualified to join universities.

The growing share of students snubbing university education is a departure from the past when degrees were viewed by many as a ticket for promotion at the workplace and getting a job, pushing the enrolment numbers to record high in recent years.

This has coincided with the government’s increased focus on technical colleges in the quest to feed the labour market with craftsmen and technicians.

Bonobos from the Zoos. Our Technical and vocation training enrollment had been stuck at 140k students. White collar jobs generated annually 90K. Blue collar jobs 900k. Everywhere teeming with bitter graduates unable to find jobs - and untrained or half trained technicans taking on informal jobs and doing a bad job as repairmen or plumbers or masons.

We decided this has to end. We dont want to become a zoo like Nigeria. Now as 2021 I think enrollment is now 600k in vocational and technical schools. It 4-5 times since 2013 reforms.

Graduates now - including those of private university - will be kept around 130k per annum - with about 500K going to TIVET - soon we will have built a foundation to industrialize.

We would have created an army of technicans and crafstmen proudly ready to wear their blue collars and get down to factory jobs...not a herd embittered jobless graduate waiting for 20yrs to get a job if ever.

You can only do this by instituting mass failures...ensure exams are extremely difficult and result unmoderated...making sure only the toughest go to university....while the rest accept their fate as future army of technicians.

Nigeria biggest problem is LACK OF AXLE LOAD CONTROL ON BIG TRUCKS. Even if you build how many roads; those trucks carrying 60 tonnes of cargo will fry the road in no time.

This use to happen in Kenya when we had no axle load control or the enforcement was lax.

Now in kenya very strict axle control - with weight bridges all over - including temporary - you overload - you will sell that truck because the fines are very punitive. I have been in trucking business...you can pay anything from upto 10K usd as fine.

Trucks are allowed max 5 axles including the driving/steering one - and the weight has to be well distributed.

Weigh bridges are automated...you dont stop...unless you get red light flag. Max gross tonnage of 48 tonnes...so generally you can only carry about 30 tonnes...because empty truck with trailer already weigh nearly 20 tonnes.

Even if you have a million small cars..they will not damage the road. But a few overloaded truck carrying 70 tonnes will fry that tarmac away.

A truck that is 10 percent loaded causes 50 percent more damage.

Kenya for 15yrs has nearly eradicted potholes...because of weight bridges.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_vJOvSRYds

How many weighbridges do you have in Kenya?
Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Mkenya2019: 8:14pm On Dec 17, 2021
Talking of exams smiley actually in the next 6yrs there will be no exams in Kenya. First we have ensured all current kids even if they scored E in primary education - they go to secondary. We have Africa 1st almost 100 percent primary to secondary transition.

Now we have CBC - that has replaced exams with assessment. Zero exams. They are going to junior high school next year. All the learning now is practial. No more rote learning. No more exams.

Kenya is making it's 3rd major reform of education system - now if you go to school - you will find kids studying practical stuff - no more cramming and reading exams.

Now kids have to learn practical lessons....and are assesed throughout without a final exam. They make things with their hands using local materials. Everything is done practically. If it teaching about marketting - they have to enact a market in class or go to the market and sell stuff.

Unfortunately because CBC - Competence Based Learning - failed in South Africa - many kenya parents are opposed to it - but I think it's going to be tranformative. South Africa education long failed when Boer started his apertheid.

With CBC the emphasis is to do away with rote learning...and try to discover the child talent.

CBC has worked in countries like Finland and Singapore.

What do they do - all the Burundi and Congolese trucks with crazy axles prefer Tanzania. You allow 56 tonnes gross tonnes. We do 48 tonnes. In terms of road quality - you know who is ahead.

I can imagine those crazy congolese frying your tarmac Nigeria style.

This one will be sold....the fines will exceed the value of the truck
https://nation.africa/kenya/news/police-detain-congo-truck-overloaded-by-115-tonnes-1070740?view=htmlamp
A trailer with a record weight of 171.3 tonnes was on Sunday night intercepted in Westlands, Nairobi.

The trailer was on its way to the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Kenya National Highways Authority Axle Load Control Manager Muita Ngatia said it was supposed to have a maximum gross weight of 54 tonnes, meaning it was overloaded by 115.3 tonnes.

Some Kenyan opposition lawmakers are calling on the government to investigate why 90 percent of the 600,000 students who took the 2017 secondary education exams failed. The minister of education, however, expressed satisfaction with the results.

Speaking to reporters in Nairobi, opposition legislator Caleb Amisi said parliament must understand what led to only 10 percent of students scoring high enough to enter university.

"Kenya National Examination Council must be ordered to prepare and present a comprehensive report over this perceived mass failure, and an independent investigation should as well be incorporated," Amisi said. "This should be conducted by some of the most credible auditing companies in Kenya."

The results sparked an uproar among parents, teachers and others concerned about the fate of the students and the quality of Kenya's education system.

Nigerians on the other hand, are generally hard working and risk takers, and despite govts inability to provide 24 hours Electricity for SMEs and even big companies, we've managed to grow our economy non the less.

My issue with you guys is that, there's nothing in Kenya, that isn't already in Nigeria, but I can show you countless projects, Kenya could only dream of.

Please if you gonna qoute me,
Don't type compare roads and bridges,

Let's do industry and innovation comparisons, like university projects, military inventions, scientific breakthroughs a d economic gains.
Thanks

Short answer. An A in Chemistry is not same as A in Religious Education. It called exam moderation. Someone has to pass. Someone has to fail. The exam has to be moderated to ensure there is fairness...if the exam was hard...the grades will be re-adjusted to reflect the normal distribution curve of exams. If everyone got below 20 marks out of 100 marks...19 marks will become an A...and 1 mark an E.

As for your challenge - what hell do you think we did in 10,000 thread and now this 700 pages.

You're a crazy obtuse imbecill.e

you love typing long nonsense,
No body here will give you an A for even 69 Pass mark.
You conceive too much lies in your head.

Your horizon is limited by your intellect and education. I cannot blame you. That is as far as you can see. You have a limited dim view.

You are definitely out of your mind. For starters your video didn’t prove your govt had a thing to with your mass . I am not here to entertain your conspiracy theories and false pretense.
Secondly, let just pretend for a minute that what you are saying is true. Is this really what they are trained to do. What exactly does this nonsense prepare them for? I am sorry but this doesn’t prepare fir the Labour market but rather sorcery and witchcraft.
