Impactful, ma. Two spiritual meals in one day for me. grin

I have to redress my steps as well. I show my younger sibling love more than his eldest. cry

Pastoress, I have a question.

My question goes thus.

Should we always rely on grace? Like in the case of the labourers. Those that started earlier got the same wages as those that came late. Where is the place for hard work?

It's a parable about the kingdom of heaven. Those who became Christians long time Imo River and those who gave their lives to Christ today, both have the SAME chance.

Okay, ma. Thank you for the clarity. Thanks for the prayers as well.

The Bible is littered with instances of God showing favoritism.

In fact, the whole basis of thy judeochristian faith stems fundamentally from the idea of God's favoritism

I enjoyed watching this.
Though it seems there are instances where God shows favoritism.

1. God selecting and separating the nation of Israel over other nations of the world.

2. God loving Jacob and hating Esaueven while they were yet unborn. Romans 9;13

3. God shows his mercy and compassion on whom he chooses to. Exodus 33:19

4. Jesus loving John the beloved over the other disciples. Even allowing him live an old ripe age while others were crucified and martyred.

5. Grace itself is a message of favoritism over those not under Grace.

God truly loves everyone but he does show favoritism too.

Omicron has taken over the UK so festivities are slow. We don't yet know if we're heading for another lockdown. I think Boris would have called it by now but his popularity has taken a nosedive since we found out that last Christmas, when we were told to practice social distancing and not to see relatives over Christmas, Downing Street were having a Christmas party undecided

Germany and France have added the UK to their red list so it's not looking good.

Just saw that today. Didn't know UK was having another surge. Stay safe and Merry Christmas in advance.

God is not a respecter of persons as the OP has said. In matters of salvation and judgement or justice, we are all with equal rights and opportunity in the sight of God. God would not give you salvation or deny you salvation because He loves you more or less. God will not overlook your sin too because you are Moses or even Jesus. In matters of reward, we are not all and cannot all be equal. You are rewarded according to your work or someone around you's work or God's mercy. That's what may sometimes seem confusing to some as favoritism. i cannot give you or treat you in the same way as my child or as the better person in the exam. You cannot all score the same marks in the name of not showing favoritism.

To a large extent I subscribe to your school of thought. I will love to butress on this.

God has children but he doesn't want us to remain as one. Because if we remain as children, we will get to heaven and we will be wearing pampers grin

God wants us to grow from being a child to be sons/daughters because sons/daughters expand kingdom and not children.

Children always come to God looking for bread and wine but sons/daughters come to him looking for responsibilities.

It therefore pertinent to posit that he shows more care to children not because he loves them more but because his wooing them to maturity.

A friend, walked up to me today after the service and said, " Bro Isaiah, I take kingdom business serious, but why has God become adamant to my plight?" I remembered pastorM teachings on favouritism and responding that is either because you are not asking according to his will or you are a son undergoing internship in the kingdom grin

Gods by their very nature show favouritism: Allah tends to favour Arabs and Arabia. Muslims even believe Arabic would be the choice language on the day of resurrection.
The Christian and Jewish god is patently the god of Israel and not of Togo or South Africa. Etc etc...
