What is the brand of your panels and are they new. next time buying a panel carry a voltmeter and test voc before buying. Ideally your should output be 36 to 42v, without load.
Since you have no access to the roof , test the wires coming from the panels into the cc with a voltmeter, this should tell you if your panels are okay.

What should the Voltmeter be reading, for the above test?

If the the two panels is in series, he should get between 65 and 85 volts the panels are good. Remove the two wire coming into your charge controllerfrom the panels, then use voltmeter to test the wires.

My roof is very steep o, not easy to access. I had called the guys that did the installation to rectify the issue today but they couldn't make it. I don't have the devices to run these measurements right away but I should get the clamp multimeter by tomorrow, with the device I should be able to measure the current and voltage at the panels and cc.

I am looking to boost the current supplied by the panels, will a series connection not cause the current to drop instead?

the bolded may be part of your issues among other factors. if your roof is too steep and your panels were installed directly
on it without using adjustable brackets it means you won't be getting optimum charging current abinitio regardless how
efficient your cc is. to get maximum juice from your panels, aim at a maximum of between 15 to 25 degrees orientation.

Good morning House, am forced to bring to the members of these thread.

In brief,

I bought 10 units of 60W Yohako All In One Solar Street Lights around February from Justcallmenuel fast forward October 7 out of the 10 units no longer works, the client called again that an additional unit no longer works making a total of 8 units not working again.

I reach out to Justcallmenuel and usually that we would be needing additional units of the street light, he said they're available and comes with one year warranty. I told him unfortunately, the previous ones I bought no longer works, he said he'll inform the company about it, after couple of days, I reached out to him again regarding my complaint as the client is on my neck, Justcallmenuel reply was "The company said there is no warranty on it".

This is concerning as the client plans to install more of these products for his factory in Zaria, Kaduna.

This is the kind of things I don't like, both the buyer and the seller do not know the product the have. This solar lamp is very straightforward read and research before you buy. Most in the market cannot do 24 hrs continous light. That is why it is written on the remote to choose 2 or 3 hrs.

Did you research and ask for the correct battery capacity or you just trusted the seller . Alaba boys will just collect your money and give you anything.

I usually just order from the manufacturers.

I get the best quality (Nigerian importers tend to bring in lower quality stuff for more profits) and they've always sent replacement parts to me if their products fail within warranty (which is rare).

I suspect it's poor sealing damaging the lamps so likely water.

I'd expect the vendor to at least offer to take them in and fix and reseal if they won't be replaced.

I've fixed a couple myself and I'm not a technician.

I trust the seller to deliver the products. However, I thought it backed up with warranty as I usually replace batteries, inverters etc. for clients. So I was pink when he said "The company said there's no warranty".

Unfortunately, the vendor didn't offer any of the above suggestions. The poor sealing is definitely worth exploring, would you be kind enough to offer solutions moving forward? Thank you.

Reach out to him if you can ship to him and he fixes and returns.
Only a company selling bad products would refuse to give a warranty.

Solar lights are basically, 1. Led Panel, 2. Solar Panel, 3. Lithium Battery & 4. Board that contains circuit, detector, remote sensor, etc.

1. If water gets in, the board would short circuit or rust and everything won't work, board can be replaced or components fixed.
2. Water can also affect the LED
3. If poor quality Lithium batteries are used they would go bad. Replacement is easy.
4. If the solar panel is too small for the batteries, they'd never charge properly and go bad soon.

If they're ever opened use high quality sillicon sealant for the re-sealing.

Hello Gurus in the house. I salute you all on your informative and educative discussions on this thread.
Please I need your advice on my next steps in the solar power journey.
I currently have a 24v 2kva solar inverter system wt 1280 panels, 2kva soelix pure sine wave inverter, souer 60A mppt CC and 2x200Ah Lead acid smf batteries. All are 1yr old.
Presently I am not satisfied with the performance of the battery as I have to reduce my night load from 8pm-7am to less than 100w for it to last till next morning.
With this, I am considering switching to LiFePO4 most especially because of its longer lifespan but I have some concerns:
1. Fear of explosion from overcharging, high temp etc associated with Li battery. For me, safety is of utmost priority.
2. Will the LiFePO4 work wt my Soelix inverter and 60A mppt CC? Or I will need to get another inverter and CC.
3. Someone on this thread once said Li battery also need babysitting/monitoring. What type of monitoring are we talking about as I do travel for work?

If I will need to stick with the LA smf for safety or huge cost reason, I will be considering going for 4x 150Ah but top quality at reasonable price.
Which brand will you recommend that will go averagely 3yrs & comfortably? as I wish to switch my attention to other things.

Please pardon my long write-up and thank you for your attention and forthcoming responses.

You didn't mention your load.

I haven't heard of LiFePo4 exploding
Most modern cc's have Lithium settings
If your inverter can handle 15V it should be okay
Babysitting/monitoring is far less on Lithium than Tubular/LA. I basically just look at my voltage anytime I pass my setup and that's it.

A properly fused and BMS'd setup shouldn't give you any issues.

sorry for your loss bro. unfortunately not everyone who comes to post here is really a solar enthusiast.
most are here just to make profit and that's it. they are not necessarily grounded in the products they're selling.
going forward, any seller who just comes to dump adverts on the thread and vanishes into thin air should be
avoided at all cost. they don't weigh in on discussions. they don't offer any suggestions on problem solving.
they are just business focused. chances are that they don't know much about what they are selling and will be
very unlikely to help you sort out your issues if you call them up on any product purchased from them.
a word is enough for the wise...
