Indriver is soooo annoying

Why will they charge you when a passenger cancels?

So you burn petrol and time, then rider doesn’t show and you have to pay?

I think I will start driving less with them.

2% has been my motivation for driving longer hours.

Abeg who clicked like on my pains?

It seems this thread is only for bolt drivers.
No one else seems to answer my question to confirm if its general or selected drivers, yet mail was still sent yesterday for this week promotion.
Now no motivation to drive for longer hours this week.

It's official that Uber riders misbehave more than Bolt riders. I think it's because people assume Bolt drivers to be "mad" thus they behave themselves when using Bolt.

Because Bolt restricted me to Card trip yesterday, I used Uber mostly. The experience wasn't funny.

A guy ordered me. When I got to his location following the map, he told me that he didn't understand where I was explaining, that I should come to Whitesand Beach Estate but I shouldn't enter inside the estate.

I drove back to the estate only for him to tell me to drive out a little out of the estate gate to the street that I will see him.

It happens that the guy is in the same street I was earlier that I passed to return to Whitesand Beach Estate. Which means he was inside his house commanding me to be driving around the neighborhood just to locate him. When I entered back to the street, I saw him waving at me.

As I was driving down to meet him, he just entered into one of the houses there and disappeared. To be sincere, I couldn't even point out which house this guy entered because it happened like a movie to me in flash seconds.

I just drove close to the house and parked. Waited for 15 minutes yet this guy isn't out. I called but he refused to pick my calls.

I decided I was leaving. So, I turned on my Bolt app and immediately got a card trip request. As I was turning to pick my Bolt rider, he came out shouting "driver driver", I nearly knocked him out of my way. I just did like he wasn't talking to me and continued driving forward.

He called three times but I didn't pick. Since he wasn't ready to embark on the trip, he should go back to his house and continue whatever he was doing and wait for another Uber driver that will take 20-30 minutes to come and pick him.

These guys think that they can dehumanize drivers simply because they are paying for the services.

I mean, what does it take him to wait for me to get close so he can tell me to give him few minutes to finish up. And, why refuse to take my calls because you think I'm already here so I should wait. Communication, communication makes the difference in everything.

I just canceled the trip after driving forward a bit and went offline.

An Uber rider requested me and I drove to his house. When he came out, he said that the place he selected is different from where he's going.

I told him to update the location and the next thing I saw was "rider canceled". The Ekuke canceled the ride while sitting inside my car. You know that Uber app does not work like Bolt. If it was Bolt, being close to each other would have made him get me easily when he requests again.

But Uber will be giving you 20 minutes pickup when there's a five minutes request close to you. Not until you keep rejecting those long pickup that you will eventually get the closer one.

While I was waiting to see if he could get me, I kept refusing other requests coming to me not knowing that this nigga has gotten another driver and was stylishly waiting for him inside my car.

Just in few minutes time, a corolla was coming towards our direction. The next thing I heard was "sorry bro, my new driver is already here".

He immediately jumped out of my car and started racing towards the corolla until the guy passed us and continued his journey. It even happened that the corolla guy was carrying a rider.

As I was watching what was going on from my rear mirror, this idiot of a guy ran back and entered my car again that I should carry him to his destination. I asked him how much he wants to pay and he said it's a 500 naira trip.

If not that yesterday was a Sunday, what will it cost me to just give the dude some headbutt.

I told him to leave my car at once.

I really suffered yesterday because I couldn't get Bolt cash trips. The only 3 trips I did on Bolt fetched me 12k gross, whereas all my Uber trips yesterday from morning til night could only get me 13k net.

I truly lost out of Bolt surging trips yesterday cry

Rider: no I thought you’ll come by 7pm
Me: 7pm kwa I don’t understand
Rider; I’ll be ready by 7pm here so you can take me to Ikoyi
Me: I was speechless but all I could do is to control my anger because I knew he’s elderly man… I had to yell at him that sir it’s doesn’t work that way.

Once it’s 6:50pm you can request for a ride and driver will come.

Rider: I don’t know my daughter was the one that teach Me you know this app thing is complex I don’t even know anything about it my son… sorry

Me: please just request for a ride whenever you’re 100% ready… bye sir
Rider: sorry okay

Bros always listen to advise for your own good. You want a V6 engine to race against other vehicles abi? Experience they say is the best teacher. As long as you have intent to do e-hailing it means you are not rich as Otedola on that note buy i4 engine. When you get to Otedola level you can buy v8 for ehailing. Wetin i know olodo like me.

In terms of acceptability and use, the main thing is d price. The technology affects only a very tiny fraction of the populace... The elderly man still requested successfully, so the technology isn't d issue.

He is just being immature, (probably)deranged and could be suffering from one syndrome I can't really figure out.
Just the way and manner some id*ot make prank calls on toll free lines to fire service and ambulances, people do such for rides also. I wonder why?

Mind you, these hustle requires a whole lot of cognitive skills, loads of intuition, ingenuity and logic...

Examples:

If a rider calls and says: "Ògá where are you now" grin
Assumption: be rest assured you're going to pick up an olosho...
Note: there's nothing wrong with olosho, they can be good & bad

If a rider calls and says: "hello, good afternoon Mr BAZOO" - calls your exact name
Assumption: be assured, you're picking up a well discern individual.

If you had to call a rider after 5-10mins: he/she is not really bothered about the ride, you can decide to cancel and he/she would reorder. So is left for you to either go or not...

If a rider calls and says: "baba where you dey now, we've been waiting for youuuuuuuuuuu
Assumption: you're picking up an OG, full of energy, has no time to waste, probably he has ref on or Colorado grin he might not pay full fare or transaction might not sail thru...lol

The best rider : A rider who request, chats and monitors you on the app and he/she is right in front of you as your car approaches - unfortunately... these set of people are mostly the Chinese ,to a large extent foreigners and they are fewer in numbers...

If uber never gives peace of mind while driving, I wouldn't be happy driving on it. I am less concerned about ratings unlike Bolt that plays joker with drivers' ratings.
My only complain is just that I have scheduled myself till dec 30th and budgeted amount to make easily since hanging up boot is to be done 30th not keeping in mind the saying that never count your chicks before they hatch.
Mind you, I netted above 200 easily last week driving only on uber.

What's my business with long pickups when I can overlook it when it rings. I only accept close pickups since no penalty for not picking requests unlike Bolt, mind you, only acceptance rate going down.

I already mentioned that I drove mainly on bolt for 6 months till dec last year, left it to do something else.
I had to get on moove while waiting on something which I never knew I would drive this long this year but unfailingly hanging boots this season.
And who said no long pickups on bolts? I experienced such severally while driving and I can provide recents screenshots if you need.
So you should now see why I am concerned about making the best before moving on.

The hope for profit is as important as the fear of loss.

What you know is as important as what you don’t know.

Your Risk-taking is as important as your Cautiousness.

Balance them all out or u may regret u never took a step or achieve anything great.

I'm so sorry about this. But why do you guyz love driving at night after 7:30 - 8p.m...
Do you really , really make more money?
Then how many trips can you do within that 4hours?( let's assume your trips are against traffic)
Lastly, does it really worth it.....

Why would I go to Ajah, Festac town or Navy town, Ikorodu - Igbogbo, Igando-iyana iba or Ekoro Meiran around 8p.m? Its a No No
