In terms of acceptability and use, the main thing is d price. The technology affects only a very tiny fraction of the populace... The elderly man still requested successfully, so the technology isn't d issue.

What's my business with long pickups when I can overlook it when it rings. I only accept close pickups since no penalty for not picking requests unlike Bolt, mind you, only acceptance rate going down.

I already mentioned that I drove mainly on bolt for 6 months till dec last year, left it to do something else.
I had to get on moove while waiting on something which I never knew I would drive this long this year but unfailingly hanging boots this season.
So you should now see why I am concerned about making the best before moving on.

Yea...that's my concern too. I always say It's not about which app is better, sophisticated, advanced, or gives a certain mentality...for me, it's all about the benjamins. Which app helps me achieve my goals and targets faster and easier. As long as that question is answered every other factor is secondary.
I careless about comparisons, but because U guys make it seem like I am branding Bolt, that's why I am doing same to u.
By all means, fly on the one that helps to meet your targets fastest. No strings attached, no loyalties.

Omo woke up today 5:30am with a challenge of netting 30-40k before night

As at to 12, I was already on 18k. That was how Lagos road spoilt my car silencer
(It got broken) and car sound was not comfortable.

Had to drive back home and close for the day.

When there is life , there is still hope of meeting this my challenge later on

Good afternoon bosses.

So sorry about the bad incidence. The Ants won't tell you this, now experience has taught you... Don't be discouraged, get back on track soon.

@humblesteve

I'm so sorry about this. But why do you guyz love driving at night after 7:30 - 8p.m...
Do you really , really make more money?
Then how many trips can you do within that 4hours?( let's assume your trips are against traffic)
Lastly, does it really worth it.....

Why would I go to Ajah, Festac town or Navy town, Ikorodu - Igbogbo, Igando-iyana iba or Ekoro Meiran around 8p.m? Its a No No

Lolz...is 8pm night?
You really need answers to those questions or they are rhetorical.
Well everyone should do as their mind and spirit leads.
If all ehailing drivers close by 7pm who will move Lagos till d next morning?

Pearl1910 here you have your evidence about long pickups smiley.

But sincerely speaking, bolt made drivers to be dragged like the way it now.

Drivers that behave like mumu is just because of bolt ratings, a normal uber driver is less concerned about ratings.
Riders that delay and cancel anyhow even at pick location anyhow is just because of bolt never put their drivers into consideration.

Checkout this screenshot for how much is charged for cancellation, also if you forgot an item and expect a driver to return to you.

If another rider asks me “what is the color of your car?”, I just may lose my mind.

I was so frustrated yesterday, my ratings on bolt have dropped from 5 to 4.9, na wa...

I can’t tell who gave me the one stars but I know for sure this one lady did.

First she called and asked “where are you?”, and I was like can’t you see me on your map?

Then when I got to her pickup, she was like what is the color of your car? My head just dropped.

I mean unless, the ride was ordered for you, why will you ask me for my car color when everything should be on the app? Or isn’t it on the app? I haven’t used bolt as a rider before, only Uber.

I kept mute when she asked for my car color, then when she finally entered my car, she was like you are rude. I knew the one star was already sure, so I just dammed the rating consequences and told her that it’s a very annoying question if she was the one that booked the ride. I told her all my information including my name should be on her phone.

She then said what if I came with a different car? I was like why would you enter a car that is different from the one on your app? Why would the app show Benz as pickup and the driver shows up in a Yota and you will still enter?

Anyways, bad mood is hopefully gone and I can get back to 5 stars, cause usually I don’t let things like this bother me, but yesterday, I was so short fused and was tired of all the stupid questions.

Where are you?
What is your name?
What is the make of your car?
What is the color of your car?
....

Slide arriving now and wait for 3 mins before you cancel, and only select rider did not show.

However, don't do this too much by balancing it with outright cancellation

It seems this thread is only for bolt drivers.
No one else seems to answer my question to confirm if its general or selected drivers, yet mail was still sent yesterday for this week promotion.
Now no motivation to drive for longer hours this week.

Same here, sent them a message... Fingers crossed

Bros always listen to advise for your own good. You want a V6 engine to race against other vehicles abi? Experience they say is the best teacher. As long as you have intent to do e-hailing it means you are not rich as Otedola on that note buy i4 engine. When you get to Otedola level you can buy v8 for ehailing. Wetin i know olodo like me.

Lol, there's no need for the plenty sarcasm.

He is just being immature, (probably)deranged and could be suffering from one syndrome I can't really figure out.
Just the way and manner some id*ot make prank calls on toll free lines to fire service and ambulances, people do such for rides also. I wonder why?

Mind you, these hustle requires a whole lot of cognitive skills, loads of intuition, ingenuity and logic...

Examples:

If a rider calls and says: "Ògá where are you now" grin
Assumption: be rest assured you're going to pick up an olosho...
Note: there's nothing wrong with olosho, they can be good & bad

If a rider calls and says: "hello, good afternoon Mr BAZOO" - calls your exact name
Assumption: be assured, you're picking up a well discern individual.

If you had to call a rider after 5-10mins: he/she is not really bothered about the ride, you can decide to cancel and he/she would reorder. So is left for you to either go or not...

If a rider calls and says: "baba where you dey now, we've been waiting for youuuuuuuuuuu
Assumption: you're picking up an OG, full of energy, has no time to waste, probably he has ref on or Colorado grin he might not pay full fare or transaction might not sail thru...lol

The best rider : A rider who request, chats and monitors you on the app and he/she is right in front of you as your car approaches - unfortunately... these set of people are mostly the Chinese ,to a large extent foreigners and they are fewer in numbers...

Dose fewer numbers, I am part of them.

I think if Bolt is really a technology driven company, it's high time they leverage on all these modern day payment platform like flutterwave, paystack etc. I can't undestand why they will be restriction on business over the weekend because of the threshold when we can easily pay and continue working.

A lot of transactions in the country happens over the weekend, why must I wait till they "open" the bank to customers on Monday before I know my status.

I haven't bought it yet.

Thank you so much.

If ehailing is part in plan then look for anything within 2.0L, 1.8L or 1.6L all 4cyls.

Mind you the federal government is making plans to increase pump prices and I see no form of increment by the app coys that can help to complement the effect cause by the increment.

Cost of parts will shoot up, cost of maintenance will shoot up and there will decrease in patronage and high influx of new drivers due to the overwhelming labor market and lost of jobs to folding up of companies due to high running cost.

Lets brace up for a more difficult time come 2022 if the government takes this action.

E go red!!!

What do you expect?
That is one of the main reason many users left uber for bolt apart from the bonuses it gives them.

I don't get restricted to card trips on Bolt cos I preempt all the moves.

Solution : for weekends, transfer like 10k to Bolt before COB Friday. that way Sat & Sun is covered. It's still your money.

very easy, use your bank app. In the narration, put in your "reference number" within an hour or tops 2 hrs, ur 10k is sitting in your wallet.

Off and On ur Location when next that happens.

Also it depends on ur proximity, for example u may get trips from inside Opic when u r in Magodo cos of the close proximity, but in real life it's a long journey.

Generally speaking, it happens ones in a while on Bolt, u don't have to complete the trip if it's not worth it.
