Roger Milla, Biyik brothers, Cyril Makanaki and Thomas Nkono to mention a few were not homebased players when they competed for Cameroon in 1990.

TheCongo2:

Last I check, Cameroon reach the quarter final of the world cup with home based players in 1990
Cameroon had a good performance in 1982 as well with home based players only.

But ever since Cameroon started to rely on foreign based players, they have nothing to show for it in the world cup stage.

Actually, the individual teams need to step up especially on marketability. Community Sensitization and websites, jersey sales Nationwide, club philosophy, academy prospects, accountability, finances. All we see are just the talents for now. Admin is near extinct.

Then the Refs should look beyond the peanuts. They need imagine themselves as at Least Linesmen at Afcon, WC and work towards it. Else, same old.

If this is our new coach, this Jose Peseiro, I'm actually not convinced or impressed. Too many clubs on a short spell doesn't speak well as a manager. It means many sackings. And im worried.

We need a German/Dutch/Brazilian coach that can make us utikize our attacking strenght.

I'd have preferred a Brazilian for a tweak. European offer us nothing to fall back on since we've been relying on them for a while.

Once again, if true, our NFF crew reason like LGA football club owners.

50% of that 1990 Cameroon squad were foreign based most of whom started matches for the Indomitable Lions.

My main man Junior Lokosa with his first goal back

Kwara are beautiful to watch when attacking. I give it to them. They've maintained this pattern for some time and that's commendable. Sleek Dennis vs Chelsea type of goal for Steven Jude there. Between the legs.

Na this kind team $2m go turn them to continental powerhouse.

Pinnick is just a politician that barely understand and knows football

He does not even know how to look out for a coach with his assistants and technical team instead he went to Mouriho to recommend one of his country men for the super eagles. He didnt even meet renowed football consultants or interview array of interested foreign coaches

No wonder Nike use am as pawn in a deal he was thinking he had the upper hand. Dem use $3.5m to darken his glasses and swiped away $300m under 24hrs.

This means former Nigerian international Joseph Enakarhire played under him.

jihday:
here’s what I could find about him.

Peseiro has a degree in physical education from the same university in Lisbon where José Mourinho gained his. He started coaching in the lower leagues before taking charge of Nacional, steering them into the Portuguese top flight in 2002. He worked as Carlos Queiroz's assistant at Real Madrid in 2003/04, returning home after a season to lead Sporting CP

However, despite playing some eye-catching football, the Lions finished third in Peseiro's debut campaign and lost the UEFA Cup final on home turf to CSKA Moskva. Sacked in the autumn of 2005, the well-travelled Peseiro has since coached al-Hilal, Panathinaikos, Rapid Bucureşti, Saudi Arabia, Braga, al-Wahda and Egyptian heavyweights al-Ahly

Peseiro's only significant trophy as a coach is the 2012/13 League Cup he won during his sole season at Braga. One thing that has been levelled against Peseiro is that his sides have often fallen short at the crucial moments, Sporting having lost the leadership of the Liga in the same week as that UEFA Cup final defeat nearly 11 years ago, while Saudi Arabia failed to qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup after conceding a 93rd-minute equaliser in a play-off against Bahrain.

You are being overly optimistic and sentiment led and not being sensible and realistic.

Do you know you cannot , use our own Nigerian languages to communicate in Nigeria and you are asking him to use a Nigerian language in Europe. Please wake up.

Your Kwale language as well as my own Uhrobo/ Isoko language will probably be extinct in 50 year's. Why because you cannot use those languages to communicate to generality of people you meet in Nigeria.

You will have much more Success with Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa and Fulani.

I go to Warri and I meet my cousin's and younger family members they cannot speak our language , all they speak is Warri pidgin.

Spanish in is spoken over several continents, l learned my first level of Spanish from staying in Miami , Florida. This is an international language widely spoken.

What you are saying doesn't make any sense , you are in Italy should you not learn Italian so you can communicate and therefore relate and integrate.

You fall my hand , bros , you no make sense.

Mr Man stick to your Urhobo, I don't know why you non Igbo minorities like scattering Igbo speaking communities in SS and take delight in having them say they are not Igbo.

Ukwuani shares 98% mutual intelligibility with Onitsha (Anambra) language, and the language you hear in Ukwuani (Kwale), is 99.9% similar to what is spoken in Oguta(Imo state) and Ogbaru (Anambra state) as these parts are contiguous with each other.

They are called Delta Igbo in independent Nigeria for a reason and Western Ibo in precolonial documents for a reason too.
Like I said, stick to your Urhobo and stop pokenosing into an issue you are not a party to, they never made you their mouth piece.
That you share a state with them, doesn't make you their mouth piece. We have Indigenous Igbos in Kogi, Benue, Cross River as well, states are artificial creations.

You are not Igbo neither are you Kwale(Ukwuani), why exactly should you be venturing into this issue?

Are you alright?

As at the time he became the nff President, Nigerian football was less attractive to sponsorship. It was even a huge risk for Nike when they offered NFF that money at that time. Whatever happened next is business, good business for Nike. There is very much room for renegotiation should Nigeria qualify for the world cup again.

Stick to Uhrobo matters , or , better still, stick to your borough boys and leave history alone. Some Kwale might not claim Igbo but their dialect is undeniably very Igbotic.

You say they are birthed by multiple associations , which is a vague statement and doesn't explain much. My own Anambra also has Igala migrants mixed with Igbo in the Omanbala , Oyi and even Idemmili yet we are Igbotic just like Western Igbos. But , for some mysterious reasons you shiver when they say they are Igbo and jubilate when they deny Igbo.

Divide and conquer tactics on display....una go tire shaa
