No time frame but first, how long have you been living in US? In my case,my husband left for business school in 2019 & we had our court wedding in March 2020 hoping to start application soon but due to the pandemic embassies were closed and we had to wait till they reopened. So the timeframe you’ve stayed in US will better help make decision. If it’s less than 6months, it sends a red flag because you two would have just gone together but more than 6months, give it a try KHAshishi: |

Hello IntrovertGuy, I honestly think it’s razz to keep commenting this on anyone who didn’t post their transcripts. Some are asking questions here for families & friends not necessarily them. And some are on a visa class that their transcript will not benefit F1 visa applicants. So quit this razz attitude. Answer if you want to or ignore. IntrovertGuy: 2 Likes 1 Share |

With my little experience in researching about US grad schs... It's not about your 2.1/2.2 rather your CGPA after converting to /4. Most US grad schools accept 3.0 and above/4. so when you say 2.2 in Naija setting.. someone who finished with 3.27-3.49/5 in naija setting na 2.2... but when you convert that same CGPA to US standard.. you'll be surprised it's a lil above 3.0 which is the minimum requirement for most US grad schs... Some schs accept 2.75 sef.. All boils down to researching the requirements of the schools you want to apply to. Rocice: 4 Likes 1 Share |

Hi Guys, for those in the US on student VISA, are there consequences for doing delivery jobs on apps like doordash, Waitr, GrubHub, etc? Thank you. |

Fill a new DS-160 form, choosing Abuja. save the new DS-160 application ID. sign in to ur CGIfederal portal, click update profile, erase the old DS-160 application ID and input the new one, then click on save/update. you would be transferred to Abuja ìmmediately. you can then start a new appointment schedule SaintBees: |

Rocice: A few things: 1. Alimi1's response (above) is as right as it gets! Perform an official transcript evaluation to determine what your grade is on the US scale (however, you may check out this for an unofficial version and see where you fall: https://support.scholaro.com/portal/en/kb/articles/ordering-a-gpa-report-um-rackham). Once it is above 3.0/4.0, you are good! As Alimi stated, a few schools accept below that grade point average compensated by years of relevant experience in the field you are running your Master's degree. 2. Do not limit your applications because of application fees. A lot of these US schools offer fee waivers. You just need to attend a virtual school event! 3. Try to write (if you haven't already) the GRE and IELTS and score highly in them. While there are waivers in some schools, getting very good scores may get you the scholarships or funding you need. Or rather, it may compensate for a low undergraduate GPA, hence 'tempting' enough to make the Admissions Committee take an important look at your profile. 4. If you are applying for Fall 2022, now is the time to begin to put together a strong application. Including chasing your undergraduate lecturers for strong, recommendation letters. 5. I don't know what your intended Master's is. But here are a few schools you may wish to check out: Illinois State University, Kent State University, Bowling Green State University, and if you have so much faith: Stanford University, MIT, UC Berkeley, Princeton University, Yale University! Best of luck! 8 Likes 1 Share |

My EA for Lagos was denied now. My visa was delayed 3rd Dec. Am I eligible to apply for another EA? My program is starting Jan 11th. I’m confused and don’t know what to do. Please note that the first EA I applied for was the one I used on 3rd Dec. The second EA was denied today. I heard one can only apply 3 times, how true is this? Kindly advise |

[quote author=ifedayosol post=108670904]I applied in Lagos, it was denied. I changed to Abuja and was approved. I stated that I need to resume Bleep date and I need to be thr early so as not to loose my admission. I uploaded sevis fee receipt, MRV receipt, i-20, int'l passport and ds-160 barcode page. Please how did you change your interview location from Lagos to Abuja? Thanks |

I have two 1-20s from same school and same date of resumption. The first one that was sent was showing family funds , I had to send an email to the school that it should reflect personal and family funds . So the school sent an updated one which shows more of the funds coming from personal and a little from family . Please should I use the 1-20 showing family funds or I should go with personal and family funds? Please which increases my chances of getting my visa approved because I have funds in both accounts that can cover for a year (personal and family ). I am about filling a new DS -160 form . 1 Like 1 Share |

I requested for EA last night and got approved 11.30am today.. I uploaded my I20 Admission letter Servis receipt. Ds160 Intl passport. I also explained I needed to resume school in over 60days but needed to be in the US from 30days earlier than start date. After I did so. I got a request ID and sent a mail to the Abuja consular stating my request ID and asking for a follow up. All last night and this morn got a mail that it was approved. I rescheduled and dates available where from Jan 13. I hope this helps someone. I also pray I'd come back with a positive transcript to encourage others 9 Likes 6 Shares |

urchdiya: Shut your mouth. You are actually the razz one here. Even if you are asking questions on behalf of your ancestors, you owe it to the platform to give a feedback. We've seen people who post transcripts on behalf of their relatives so what's your point? If many people didn't share their experiences here, you and I wouldn't have this opportunity to get answers to our questions. You should condemn the act and not encourage it. Y'all take and never want to give. New get the Bleep outta my mention. It's razz until it's done to you. 10 Likes |
