Russia could nuke Poland, and other EU countries without nuclear weapons and go conventional with USA, France etc and other with nuclear weapons.

nato was formed to counter Russia. The purpose of the organisation would become useless if Russia joins.

Their is no country on earth that can defeat Russia in any kind of war fare Hitler tried and regretted it. The country land mass is too large plus it weather condition. Russia would capture Ukraine in less than 2 days NATO would only respond with sanction nothing else.
