A rhetorical question which I don't expect you to answer. I don't visit Visit Rivers State, Rivers State is in me. Now you know.

Cool. That's good to know. If you're truly from Rivers State? Then why make such statement that there's no place called Obigbo in Rivers?

That some part of land was carved from Old IMO State by Justice Mamman Nasir and placed in Rivers because of Melford Okilo's insecurities that "it is closer to Port Harcourt, the Capital City" didn't make it loose it's origin? That it was renamed to Oyigbo didn't make the indigenes stop seeing themselves as who they are.

What you're saying is like Yorubas saying that there's no place like "Eko" in Nigeria because what's in the constitution is "Lagos", a name the Portuguese gave the beautiful Island.

Lastly, I always ask people like you this question: What makes an Egbema man from Ohaji/Egbema LGA in IMO state an "Igbo Man" and an Egbema man from Ogba/Ndoni/Egbema LGA (ONELGA) LGA in Rivers State a "South South/Niger Delta Man"

Las Las, Ndigbo will survive all these.

Nonsense and idiotic beer palour argument.
Where is the sense in the trash you typed?
Which borders were opened for Dangote?
Can you provide some proof apart from the usual radio Biafra?
You don't understand what you are talking about but it is the Igbo talking point so you bandy it around.
Igbos stand out for their tribalism and superiority complex. So it is not hard to identify a disguising one.
The so called southern crude is currently being refined in the UK and other places around the globe. Are they also Fulani owned?
Is Dangote getting the so called southern crude free of charge?
Is the refinery going to refine only Nigerian crude?
For your information, he is either buying the crude from government or providing refining services... It is like any other service company.
But you have to see tribe in everything but hypocritically turn a blind eye when it seems to favor the Igbo.
Is innoson not enjoying import and tax incentives?
Are other manufacturers, mostly being Igbo, not enjoying the incentives of the government?
But you have been programmed to see things from your distorted lense of tribalism and ethnic superiority.
shut up and go ahead and sell the reminder of your father's land to strangers, Humperty Dumpertey that doesn't know his head is destined for the coconut

Oga rest....
It is not the entitlement of the host community to get job.. He bought the land from not the other way around... The oil he is going to refine isn't given to him for free..he is going to buy it..if it pains u...u can drink the oil...he will simply import from other countries.. He isn't going to lose a kobo...
Many of the Igbo businesses operate in worse manners...check out all the transport companies owned by Igbos...the entire workforce is strictly Igbo to the core despite operating in every region of the country...or u wanna tell me there are no experienced western drivers?...
It a big refinery...those young lads recruited won't make up to 10% of the entire vacant space ...the rest will most likely be filled with southerners cuz they are better expertise... If the vacancy was left open...you and I know that not even a single northerner will be recruited because there are just way too many good southern eng.. With strong CV. and all ....if that is his way of allowing northerners (his people ) benefit..so be it...
It is business ,his money and no one's entitlement not even government can dictate for him...

The entire eng..grads in ATBU can't be from northern origin..And if ur beef is with North..then note that Kanuri, Tiv, idoma, Nupe ,igede, igala etc are many tribes in the north who would have representative amongst the graduates..since ur problem is Hausa fulani

In the end the professional expertise in all of his plant...from cement to sugar are largely southerners..only the transportation aspect have northerners thriving. ...so rest...

Rugaria:

Silly fat rat like you. Your type is hopelessly obsessed with the igbos to the extent you can die trying to antogonise them.. Somebody from Epe is moaning about the lack of job opportunities for the host communities while a Tinubu retard from irigbaji like you is busy defending the indefensible. Hopelessly parochial. The problem with your type of yoruba irritants is that you are to engrossed in your village hate to actually worry about what you gain from this whole scenerio. You are too fixated on what you deny the igbos that you have little or no time for yourself and that is a tragedy of immense proportion. Fooool.

1) The federal government played a huge role in this project from the Jonathan era to this day. The CNB was ordered to funnel large amount of cash into this project as incentives since it was seen as a national asset that needs to be protected. To that extent, it's expected that a reasonable amount of national interest should be satisfied in such areas as job recruitment, product distribution and siting of secondary plants..

2) There is nothing like The South". What we have at independence was The West and The East. It's you and Tinubu that invented The South as a political terminology to hyjack all that should accrue to both the East and west just for South Western Nigeria.

3) The biggest oil deposits inland in the socalled South South comes from Igbo communities like Obigbo and co. Don't know whether you have been properly educated on this. So your "South South" outburst does not hold water here. It's the oil from the East. So it's only natural that the greater percentage of job opportunities should go to the owners of the resource. Otherwise, Dangote should use Lagos and Bauchi oil to run his "private" refinery.
enough of English here what we know is that oil is largely produced in the southern part of the nation although some part of East also has oil but not in large quantity like the Southern part

All of these is just to push your Igbo narrative, I understand you vividly well. You have to call the place what RIVERS STATE calls it and that is final. I have observed that Igbos from neighbouring states have refused to call that LGA Oyibgo and not even the aborigines. Take it the way we want it to be called, we have no apologies for that. I really don't like back and forth on this forum, thanks for the time.

Lol @Igbo narratives. Hope you know the indigenes protested when they were pushed to Rivers State? They still call themselves Obigbo till tomorrow. Go figure.

Like I said earlier, many indigenes of Lagos still call it "Eko" till today even though what is officially in the records of LAGOS STATE is "Lagos Island". Rivers State is a human creation of recent times, Obigbo dates back to many years. The name hasn't and may never die.

The narrative that "there are no Igbos in Rivers" is what I'm trying to tackle so people who are misguided can see the truth. Rivers is actually a "cut-and-join" state (if you know what I mean). Severally clans from the Igbo hinterland were disjointed and some parts of their land carved into that State and they turn around, twist the truth and accuse us of "land grabbing". Thank God, IMO state is in the process of reclaiming some lands and oil wells from Rivers State.

The Igbos do not easily let go of their kit and kins. That's why even the Ikwerres, with all their efforts, may find it hard convincing some Igbo people about their "non-Igboness". That's just the Igbo for you.

Anyways, let's call it a day here. Thanks a lot for the time and engagement.

As a fellow Kano brother I have two statements about these comments:

1. Yes he is employing from the north. The locations of his businesses extend all through northern Nigeria. He also employs in South where more of his businesses exist. All the children from poor homes to big men are employed by Dangote group and their subsidiaries that is why you use his products in your daily lives wherever you are.

2. Please publish how many northerners are employed by Tony Elumelu, Orji Kalu, Coscharis, Innoson motors let me check something.

We do not owe you anything we are not your ward leaders. Local chairmen, commissioners or state governors. A businessman from Kano is just that. When you are ready to share the strangleholds you hold on banking, communication, media, electricals, imports that you block people on then come back make we dey chat.

Hahaha,

"CBN funded".

Didn't the government 'forcefully' invest in the project as a matter of economic security MUCH RECENTLY (2019)?

That hardly counts as 'funded' since the project would have gone on without CBN's late involvement. This is besides the fact that the CBN stands to benefit (by accomplishing its FX objectives in petroleum import substitution) through the Project.

As for hiring, it's a private company. He can hire whoever he wants (since he would suffer the most from a failure). Moreover, he's long hired foreigners already (non Nigerians) over the years with little objection.

Lay pipes from the east? Which east biko? Abi now that ir is employment matters the south east and south south can be referred to as east? Your assertion that "ALL THE JOBS" in the custom, navy, police etc just reveals the fact that you are just an ethnic bigot who will go to any length to say anything no matter how far it is from the truth/reality. I know hatred and this already skewed mindset will not allow you but go and read the second paragraph of the letter and you will realize that copies of the letter might have been sent to other institutions across the nation too.

Dangote oil Refinery absorbs 3 consecutive set of ATBU Engineering Graduates

Dangote has directed the absorption of Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, and Chemical Engineering Graduates from ATBU, Bauchi who graduated between 2019-2021.
Dangote who is the Chancellor of KUST Wudil, Kano has promised to do the same to the University since 2016 while Engineering Graduates from ABU and other universities have been benefitting from such recruitments. This is in line with his commitment to recruit Young Engineers across the the Nation into his multibillion dollar oil refinery.
From the content of the Letter, your topic is so misleading.
ATBU happened to be one of the numerous Universities he wrote to.
But you made the topic to appear as if he beamed his searchlight only on ATBU, and thus neglecting the whole lots of other Nigerian Universities.

Lagos is taking care of scholarship for decades. What Lagosians need is job.

For your hypocrisy. A family employed will go a longer way to save his generation. He'll be the bread winner and give other members of his family scholarship .

You say over 100 is little lol. What a shallow ignorant folk. Those lands and business taken to expand the road network for future commercial activities due to the refinery are what?

They don't count according to your shallow mentality.

Let me say this, it count to us if it don't count to you. We'll continue to tell our people dangote robbed us if we actualling get nothing in return.

Lol aboki needed to get employed but Lagosians only needs scholarship shocked
What is the essence of scholarship if you don't get a job after school? You end up doing a lesser job or traveling out of the country leaving your ancestral land for others to settle. And that's what is happening. Southerners keep traveling out because Northerners are crowding them out taking all the Federal Government jobs with or without a degree.
