Nope.

Ref from GTB will make your account regularization faster, because they can do the ref. verification internally (from any branch) in minutes.

But if your refs are from other banks, GTB will send the physical filled ref. forms of your refs to those banks for ref verification. Then the banks will send back these verified forms back to GTB, before GTB can regularize your account.

Unless they have changed the processes, the above is what I have a firsthand knowledge in. You can make a fresh enquiry to be certain sha.
