Thank you, man. I'd just keep the July date I received and use it for next fall. I will defer my admission to next fall. I believe I don't need to pay another visa fee, right? All I'd have to do is fill another ds-160, and update my profile with the new confirmation number. Is this correct?
You can still get emergency
They denied a friend of mine 3 times and he got the emergency request approved at a 4th attempt, after giving up.

Have you been denied visa before?

ME: Three (3)
VO: Why did you choose this School?
ME: They have a concentration that I am very much interested in which is Integrated Animal Health Systems cause I am passionate about Animal Health.
VO: What would you do with this Agricultural degree?
ME: I intend to apply for a lecturer II position at the University where I graduate, ...where I had my first degree. Basically, I want to grow up the Academic ladder to become a professor like my Mom.

What reasons did you give?

I’m sorry about this but you need to give them a good reason:

I talked about the international orientation dates and how important it is to be available for it.
I also mentioned my earliest resumption date and the date I scheduled for my visa before applying for an EA.
I talked about the time frame that’s expected for students to resume as requested by the school authorities.
Mentioned that I needed to familiarize myself with the environment, also get accommodation.
Then I pleaded that they should grant my request

DM me for the details, your alternative is to try to fill another day-160 then try to update if they will allow you another EA otherwise you will have to pay another fee for a fresh application and another EA
That would mean first canceling the current date I have, right?

I was denied a visa in July. Could that be the reason? I’m wondering if there’s anyone here who was once denied a visa and got approved for EA? So far, all I’ve seen are first time applicants.

I applied for EA in Lagos, it got denied. I filled another de-160 and applied for another EA in Abuja yesterday and I got an email now that it has been denied again. Please what’s all these? Why is this happening? What exactly am I supposed to do differently? Why is the embassy doing this to us? After all the struggle to get admission, funding, etc, I can’t even schedule an appointment for a visa interview. This isn’t fair at all.

I’m sorry about that.
What supporting documents did you submit and what strong reason(s) did you give?

Oh, that’s the reason

I’m sorry, you cannot get emergency approved if you have been denied in the last 6 months.

Wow, I also would not have cancelled, but I learned on here that you need to cancel first. Was he ever once denied a visa like me before applying for EA or he was a first time applicant?

Congratulations
Next is to apply for visa by feeling the ds160, paying for visa and choosing a date. Since you will resume August 2022, you can choose normal regular date in Abuja and safe stress of having to apply for an expedited appointment. SEVIS fee can be paid by someone in the US already so you can ask your friends or families over here to help you pay.

Best of luck.

Please who can help with the modalities of paying the SEVIS fee with western Union in the US, as some was told they cannot pay for someone else when they got to the WU office.

So, could it be that the first three times he got denied for an EA, it wasn't up to six months yet after his visa refusal, then he got approved for an EA when it was up to six months.

Not could it be. That’s it

That’s the reason

He got it approved when it entered 7 months of visa denial

I think the problem might be instate tuition waiver. How did you get the tuition waiver? Who is a resident of that state that made you get the tuition waiver? Again you make it sound like you went for the school cause you didn’t have the money to fund yourself.

Thanks but Instate tuition waiver is not only for citizens. Some schools in Texas offer Instate tuition waiver.
Please what do you advice for my next appointment? And my 2nd interview was by the Asian guy in Abuja and couldn't figure out what caused the denial.

How did he become a PR? Why can't s/he cosign a loan for the sibling and that way makes himself independent of the sibling's application?

Hello people!

I got my EA denied in Lagos yesterday and I reapplied to Abuja yesterday. Today, I got an approval mail so I proceeded to rescheduling, However, the first option was Jan 14th I picked it because I had no choice. My school resumes January 7th and classes begins January 12th.

Please, is there anything else I can do? Maybe getting a support letter from my school to take along to the embassy? Thank you

Yes you can get a letter of extension from your school. And don't forget to mention that to the VO in case you are asked questions concerning resumption.
Best of luck

You can ask someone to use the western Union stand at Walgreens to pay if they are close to the store

Emergency Appointment applied to Lagos Dec 4th, was denied on the 15th of dec. Immediately, I filled a new ds-160 choosing Abuja. Then I went back to my old ds-160 to update it.
After updating it, I applied for regular appointment in Abuja and immediately applied for EA on the 17 Dec and request approved today 20 Dec.
