Searched by the police? Hmm, is this a regular occurrence where you live?I only ask because I have never heard of it here. They do have to have reasonable suspicion that you have committed or about to commit a crime, don't they?
What do you mean is this what happen where you live? This is not the US where they need to have reasonable suspicions ,Here the POLICE have the power to stop and search and rightly so .Why do you think people accuse the police of racial profiling in the UK mostly in London? You do not need to have seemed to commit a crime, I have never been searched once in my 21 years of Living in London but I know loads of people who have

Hello people,

Please I will be coming in to London this January on a student visa with my child and spouse. Though my husband isn’t staying permanently at the moment.
My main concern now is accommodation, I’m lost as to which area to look at. I learnt that my area determines the kind of school my child goes to and all. Also, I’m pregnant which means it has to be close to a hospital too. I’m looking for a modest 1-bedroom flat, I’ve been checking Zoopla, SpareRoom, Rightmove etc. my school is in Central London.

I need pointers please
You could narrow your search to North London (Cricklewood, Finchley, Willesden Green etc.) It is not far from Central London and there are good schools around for your kids.

If you say North I think Borehamwood will be more appropriate 12 miles from charring cross, less gangs and violence! Saner climes.

The train ticket is too expensive, stay into towns covered by the London Underground.

Lool Yeah. Most Central Londoners and Canary Wharfians prefer accommodation between West Hampstead and Stanmore, hence why the Jubilee Line is always crowded.

Thanks for your reply. So I took pcr test today and got a positive result. Absolutely devastated as my flight is tomorrow ! I do not have any symptoms and also wondering where/when I might have caught it. The question now is what can I do ? Uk government just announced self isolation can be cut to 7 days if I have a negative lft and no symptoms on the 7th day but I have been told that it is possible (likely even) to keep getting pcr positive up to 4 months after infection. Does the Nigerian government/air carriers recognise people that have recovered from covid but are pcr positive ?

@dizzynet Had a friend that had a positive result, did another test (this time went to medbury, their result come out just before midnight sameday of test) and it came out negative, this was back in January...I will suggest you open your ticket and take another test.

On Flutterwave you can select enaira option. It goes to your enaira account. You transfer to your bank account. I sent at N759 to £1 today and they charge £1 sending fee.
