Subzero047: I hate Pinnick. Like seriously. Is it not on this thread I was explaining why I support Pinnick's decision to get in the likes of Kanu and Okocha into the coaching crew setup because of the attitude of players? Will I do that if I hate him? I don't like his complex and some of his thought patterns. Not that I hate him. By the way, Jose Morais worked with Mourinho for long and in tough games Jose always opts for negative set up.. Morais has worked with Mourinho for long and idolises him. So he prepared different teams negatively a lot with Mourinho. That is why I suspect he is a negative coach. Okay. Now do you think it is because I hate Pinnick? 2 Likes |

Subzero047: You don't know more about the players than Rohr who has lived, trained, worked with the players, advised them, know some of their personal challenges and worked with the players to improve their games. He has coached these players for five years and you feel you know more about them than him, when you have never met them? 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: Ok let's say you don't hate Pinnick but you prefer the fraud Aminu Maigari to him, and about being Mourinho's assistant where is it written that assistant's must have the same football ideologies of their boss, Arteta was under Guardiola for many years yet had a distinct football ideology from him, Carrick was under Ole for years yet set a completely different formation on his first match, I'm not really bothered about his style of play given that he has been successful in places he has been as far as he can transfer his successes as a manager to the SE, carry on! |

TheGoodJoe: Oga he invited 3 natural midfielders for a tournament like Afcon, and has continually jampacked the SE with redundant defenders and Strikers for years despite the myriad of midfielders staring at him, playing players out of position, starting poor players while the best players are on the bench, He may know more about their personal challenges but he is handicapped in the football aspect of things 7 Likes |

Jose Morais: The Mourinho acolyte bringing Barcelona to Barnsley New Barnsley boss Jose Morais has spent time working with Jose Mourinho and watching at La Masia, and he is ready to impart his own vision. There must be dozens of coaches who would love to work with Jose Mourinho just once. Arguably the most successful man to step into the dugout in the last 20 years, he has won league titles in four countries, as well as two Champions Leagues, while blazing trails and scorching the earth at almost every turn. He is a divisive figure, but indisputably one from whom so much can be learned. He knows how to win, how to bring down those who won before, how to pick his battles on and off the pitch. Jose Morais, a man lucky enough to work with Mourinho for much of his career, perhaps sums him up best. "He's a guy who knows things," he says. "Sometimes before everybody!" Morais has certainly come to know plenty about successful coaching at Mourinho's side. He was part of his staff in his sparkling early career at Porto, then his assistant at treble-winning Inter, during the turbulent three years at Real Madrid and the high and lows of his second spell at Chelsea. Morais sought Mourinho's advice when the chance to take over at Barnsley appeared. "He said, 'Yeah, I'm really happy for you, it's an interesting challenge and I'm with you'," the 52-year-old recalls. You can see something of a younger Mourinho in Morais, even though the retired midfielder is just three years the Manchester United manager's junior. He is a charming, softly spoken man, who told reporters at his official presentation at Oakwell: "I am more than a coach. I am a leader". It's hard not to think back to 'The Special One' when he first moved to England in 2004: a beguiling and charismatic figure, far removed from the embittered one skulking around Old Trafford today. Much of Mourinho's ire these days is down to a perceived lack of recognition for his achievements and a focus on his negative approach to certain big games. Is Morais worried about that, too - that Barnsley fans will tire of uneventful displays, where entertainment is sacrificed on the altar of results? "You think I'll like these guys? I'll love them!" he smiles. "In life, we have to live with compliments and criticism, but we need to take them in a good way. "If the criticism is something that will help me to improve, I'll use it. It's not 'forget about it'. But everybody is welcome. We're all different, all thinking different. "I want to influence people to play with a certain level of competitiveness. The intention is not to show something, but to give something." Morais has worked hard to learn these different qualities he wants to give. He has been head coach at Al Shabab, Antalyaspor and AEK Athens since 2014, winning the Saudi Super Cup with the former. Since leaving Greece, he has taken time out to study at Barcelona's La Masia, that crucible of stylish, successful football that sometimes seems so far from the Mourinho mould, even though he was tutored at Camp Nou under Bobby Robson. "I was taking my time to do something different, in terms of trying things I couldn't try in all the time I was working," he explains. "I was more into leadership, formations, travelling around. I spent at least three weeks at La Masia in Barcelona, watching ideas that I like, different things. This is the way I am: improving all the time. "This is a conversation about philosophy, a way to see things. There are always different ways to win. I have a vision about the quality of the game and the quality is always the quality you need to have results you want to have. "As soon as you can put this on the pitch, it's the best philosophy. We will improve our game in order to make things better, to win." https://www.fotmob.com/news/p3rwugm2zqt71vsnzb4fnomt9/jose-morais-the-mourinho-acolyte-bringing-barcelona-to-barnsley 2 Likes |

Interesting article above on Jose Morais, the guy rumored to soon take over the Super Eagles. I think my fears are right. His philosophy is strictly down to winning. Nice he took time to go to La Masia to learn more about the modern game but three weeks is not enough in anyway. Morais is most likely not a modern strategic coach and I see his appointment as a possible draw back. A lot of teams today are aligning to the modern way of play but we are going for a coach that might not bring that. I would have preferred a move totally into the modern strategy. Time will tell but I am not optimistic. |

TheGoodJoe: Na you deh talk like this haba Quality that only who can see ❓ Quality is not hidden it is expressed and commended with lucrative contracts to top clubs and league. Aina, Tomori, Ademola, Bellingham, Richards , all left the second tier Championship to top clubs and better first tier league in the EPL, Bundesliga and Seria A. Because they were outstanding in that league. You cannot say someone is outstanding and after five years of opportunity has remained in mediocrity in a very poor Segundo division. The Dude is the lowest paid player in his club. Do you know league two players get more money than him in England. You are being emotive. The guy failed woefully at Arsenal he was not in good enough. He goes to Porto and they put him in the youth team. At every stage of his career he had not been able to step up. What skill and talent did he have that he could not eclipse those small boys in Arsenal. And please don't say racism and favouritism. Go and look at Aston Villa Carney Chukwuemeka ,l watched this boy destroy almost single handedly Liverpool U18. These are the unknown Hidden gems we should be getting on board not getting lost in nostalgia for youth players who have not grown beyond that level. Add to that age is no longer on his side ( whether it's football age or not) This matter should be buried let's look at upcoming talents who are yet to explode in top teams . 7 Likes 1 Share |

I remember Amaju when he was a sport commissioner and was running Warri Wolves. He was a shrewd politicians and an Uduagha loyalist. Quite a few of them from the old Uniben days with the various leanings. Do you remember what Glen Hoddle said about the agreement he was asked to sign giving a huge chunk of his salary to a particular individual. Glenn Hoddle is a guy of unquestionable INTEGRITY l have no doubt about his disclosures, also he is very well off. He was doing the job to make a name not money. The quest for foreign coach is wound up in the quest to make under handed £££€€€$$$. That's why we often pick a particular type of hungry cisch and or unscrupulous one it suits the purposes of the NFF. There are outstanding top quality black coaches ,but did we contact them , l wonder why ![]() |

Jose Morais, the new SE coach ❓ l really hope these are just rumours because if they are not it's blatantly apparent why he is gettin the job. He is for me mediocrity personified ,don't care if he has a PhD in football coaching and is the first son of Cruyff. He is not what we need , l prefer Sia Sia, Yobo , Finidi, Amunike, Eguavon even the TheGoodJoe . Look at the screen shots below, NOTHING more to be said. 3 Likes 1 Share
