The Access Bank is close to my family house in Egbe. My dad wasn't home. My mum and grandmum had to lie down in the sitting room for hours. They said they later crawled to the inner rooms to hide. According to my mum, she said she stopped counting when the boom of the explosives reached 27 times. It was a terrifying experience. Thank God they were caught. I'm proud of the security operatives.

Why do you think he deserves commendation? He already gets 500 million naira security votes monthly. And I'm sure the ease of access to a helicopter is because of the presence of military formations (navy and the army) in Kogi state. The aircraft must have been deployed from one of these formations. Bello also seems to have some clout in Abuja, so a request for a helicopter either from Abuja itself or from one of the military formations in the state under instructions from Abuja is something that will get easy approval. Under normal circumstance, the police also needs to own a helicopter.

The other governors too collect security votes and also complicit in the dearth of provision of security for lives and properties of their own people, but that does not justify that Bello should be commended for performing a constitutionally binding responsibility in the first instance.

Abi you will also praise him for "paying workers"' salaries when it naturally isn't an achievement being what is routinely expected of good governance? Will you?
