holyjacket: Please on the new visitors application i am confused . To unite with an immediate family member who is in Canada temporarily, you must also request written authorization from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) if you: are travelling to Canada from a country other than the United States and do not qualify for the fully vaccinated traveller exemption Should i request for a written authorisation. what does it mean, please |

19CannyMum: Lol Way to go. I dont know why they're beginning to slow down despite their new ETA. Hopefully it doesn't drag for too long but if it does, maybe you can contact your MP to look into it. |

[/quote] Good morning, please my friend desperately need your assistance. This is the message she received yesterday regarding her application, I only understand the first part, please can someone break down the second part and how she can handle it. Thank you

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by ashiwajew: 10:56am On Dec 23, 2021 |
spongebobsquare: The meaning of the second reason is, from the information she supplied, they have noticed that there is nothing in Nigeria that will make her want to come back to Nigeria, for instance, husband and kids, booming business etc. Again, they also noticed that she will be too comfortable to want to leave Canada because the person she wants to visit is a close relative and is capable of accommodating her for as long as possible. Therefore, she needs to show and prove that there is an important obligation that requires her presence that will surely bring her back to Nigeria |

spongebobsquare: please i saw this when filling the new visitors visa application. You’ll need to provide proof that you are coming for a non-discretionary purpose. Upload this document in the “Proof of travel exemption” field. Please what does this mean ? is the proof of non discretionary purpose proof of vaccinantion |

I don't intend to japa, just actually want to visit for child birth around February, i am currently not vaccinated because of govt restriction for pregnant women not to take the vaccine and i applied as a visitor although i got an invitation letter to support my application from a family friend. Please, please and please i am open to any assistance i can get, i just want to give my child a better opportunity than we have. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history. |

Towerofgrace:I doubt if anyone here can really help you. You need to address the the concern of the consular officer such as ; financial status and personal assets, family ties in Canada and Nigeria and lastly your travel history. Address all this issues then you might have a chance. 1 Like |

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Towerofgrace: 11:27pm On Dec 23, 2021 |
mrprolifik: Thank you for your response, advise/suggestions on how those concerns can be addressed is what I am asking about, for instance would it make any difference to find a sponsor or get more funds into bank account to address financial status? For family ties in Nigeria, I am married, been married for 7 years and this is our miracle child, what other way can I address family ties? For Canada family ties I am not even blood related to the family inviting me so how can this concern be addressed For travel history my dh is aerophobic so since we have been married we haven’t made any international trip together as the last trip I made to UK in 2014 alone wasn’t a pleasant experience, between 2010 - 2014 at least I visited 5 different countries in UK, UAE and Africa, so how else can I address this to meet up with travel timeline in Feb 2022 Would a supporting letter to give explanation when reapplying be necessary or make any difference? 1 Like |

If you have visited 5 countries, how can they still mention travel history as a ground for denying you the visa again. You didn’t mention the travel history on the application? Towerofgrace: |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Towerofgrace: 12:50am On Dec 24, 2021 |
aloskyyoung: I actually did, but I was thinking because they are not very recent that’s why this was mentioned, I intend to reapply and include travel history in a letter to explain I returned after all the international travel I made then, even when financial and marital status wasn’t what it is now, then also explain to address Other concerns also I am very hopeful about reapplying since entire application submission, biometrics and response timeline for my application is under 2 weeks (10th - 23rd Dec) but just need guidance on best approach from the house this time around |

two4: Hi I left lagos yesterday via klm on trv to unite with sibling. I enrolled on arrive can app, vaccination card, negative COVID test from accredited lab, authorization from ircc to fly (did this via webform). All documents are checked at all airports, so print all documents. In Canada I was randomly selected to do a COVID test. I am to quarantine in my sisters house till results come out in 24 hours . If negative I can go about my business, if positive then further quarantine for 10 days. They also gave a home test kit to do in 10 days and send to them. Cheers 2 Likes 1 Share |

Towerofgrace: In your new application, don't use invitation letter from anyone in Canada. Just make accommodation reservation, that disconnects you more from the absconding suspicion. Top up your account. Let what you have be twice or more of what your travel expense would be. Too little is not good, too much is not great either. For your travel history, don't dare say that flight phobia thing. You will be exposing yourself - showing that this trip is extremely important. You may make an explanation of having been busy with work/business and the onset of the pandemic and the associated travel bans. You decided to take a go now because you have got some time and you have been fully vaccinated... and bla bla bla. Demonstrate your ties to Nigeria. There are always some ties. Just accentuate them. Remember, keep the duration short. Tourist don't spend months. 7-14 days is perfect. Do have a clear itinerary that highlights the locations/attractions you will be visiting. Good luck. |
