Akinkunmi Amoo seems good with his decision making on the ball when running at goal. The guy even looks faster and more skillful than Samuel Chukwueze. He has that ability to keep possession on the move at quick pace and giving that split pass when he wanted to. Youtube though can be deceiving sometimes. grin grin grin

Agents full this place joor. Let him prove himself at a bigger league before comparing to chukwueze.. he seems like a talent. A whole chukwueze that is on records destroying Real Madrid and Barcelona defense is who you claim, that a Swedish backwater league player is much gifted….. tomorrow is Christmas sha

Bundesliga is on winter break hence his presence in Nigeria.

It's not just Nigeria, Tunisia and Algeria are yet to drop squad list and all countries will start camping same day.

I aware of the break, he also necessarily have to be in Nigeria to observe it. With how restrictive the pandemic has made traveling it would have more logical if he remained in Germany since he has his immediate family with him. Of course he could just be in Nigeria to observe the break but me thinks being in the list is more plausible

Awoniyi is also in Nigeria already. It's safe to say he's included in the list. It's however screams incompetence for us to be expecting the list 4 days to the opening of camp
It seems the people invited already know themselves as Nelsz pointed out

Yeah they do, its mandatory clubs and/or players get the info (mail) like 2 weeks before an event. So I'm sure they definitely know themselves. Probably just waiting for an official release of names before they come out

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.
Sequel to my post yesterday where I expressed my intention to take over the responsibility of organising the annual Nairaland Nigeria Football award as requested by Icon4s this year, I'm glad to announce that the award would go ahead as planned, and I'll be coordinating it with Drklever.

Three people from this thread will join the nomination committee alongside me and Drklever, with icon4s being a honorary member.

On this note, members of the thread are to nominate 3 monikers they wish to be part of the committee. Unlike how it was previously done where we would nominate only one moniker, I suggest we nominate 3 each so as to make it more flexible and have more people nominated.
Here's how the nomination selection will be sorted;
3 points would be awarded to the first name nominated, 2 points to the second and 1 point to the last.
Example: I nominate Danielnino00, Drklever and icon4s. in this case, Danielnino00 will have 3 nomination point, Drklever will have 2 and icon4s will have 1.
At the close of the nomination process, the 3 monikers with the most points will be added to the committee. Any moniker that's selected to the committee but doesn't wish to participate for any reason whatsoever will be replaced by the another one from below the top 4.
Nomination starts now and close on Monday, December 27th 2021.

Thank you.

I just noticed some mistakes in the write up and modified accordingly.

Keep the nominations coming guys!

Just can't wait for this NFF era just like Buhari government to be over

I was thinking we southerners managing NFF will do things differently but it is obvious the Northerners are smarter and better so far when it comes to football administration in Nigeria

If you criticize the NFF now...just like Buhari foot soldiers, pinnick supporters will come quote u just like Buhari, Pinnick does no wrong.

Incompetence flows in all arms and agencies of the government. Why don't allow Equeavon led this team to afcon what is the obsession with a foreign coach

We need results, if Austin is unable to win the afcon then we can recruit a foreign coach.... at this time shopping for a foreign coach for the super eagles is ill timed and unnecessary....what we need is to put all hands on deck to achieve something from the forthcoming AFCON and afterwards we shift focus to the world cup

Pinnick need to get his priorities right, I believe the NFF is the one delaying the preparation and not the coaching crew

grin grin

The boldened came out wrong obviously.

From Gala to Lulu to Maiga

The Worst.

He is now FIFA errand boy and right hand man in Africa. Infantino is very close to him, he even gets to represent him in some occasions...
This may put him in a bad light amongst other africa FAs and CAF. He could be a saboteur being that the western countries want a postponement or cancellation of CAF and him being close to thjs western block can be used to achieve this plans

Pinnick is playing a dangerous politics while using the NFF as the ladder to achieve his personal ambition

He's really played this part out so well. I'm afraid its when his tenure ends that we'll see the extent his shrewd politicking has gotten football admin in his time.

I think all the countries have submitted their squad list to CAF... Just the official announcement is pending in some cases...

OJB sports just confirmed that none of the players have received invitation for the tourney. Apparently none is aware of they are going for AFCON, at best all they have is assumption. To think they'll still need to go through the hurdle of clearing with clubs, this shows how unprepared the NFF is.

List likely to be released tomorrow though

I doubt that story but if this is the case, then Nigeria has breached club policy of receiving notice for invitation 2 weeks prior to announcement and may choose to hold back the players.

But I really doubt going by villareal post about Chuks. If he wasn't invited or they have gotten a notification, they wouldn't post it.

He got this by speaking with at least 4 players currently on the team.

It's possible players could have informally informed their clubs of the forthcoming competition, just as Osimhen announced his fitness on twitter and Napoli's subsequent reaction. We are also aware of informal talks between the FA and Rangers on the release of Aribo, Bassey and Balogun, it doesn't automatically mean the players have been formally invited.

You really need to get a grip of your emotions, you keep making this false assertion in here daily about “southerners being bad managers of football in this country “

It reeks of stupidity for you to keep saying these at all times. The mere fact that Pinnick is not doing things the way you want does not warrant you to keep tagging everyone as never do well.

Every good thing in this country was laid down by southerners, stop disgracing yourself.

Pls Oga learn to be civil while you quote me

I narrowed my quote to football administration as per se the NFF/NFA as it was formerly called

I expect so much from Pinnick because he is someone i know so much was expecting him to replicate the success attained with delta state sport ministry in NFF
