This is caused by activities of illegal oil bunkering and refining called "Kpo fire" to produce diesel, petrol and kerosene by militants

I wonder what we want the government to do in this case.
This pollution is obviously not from multinationals, but from illegal refineries that is a norm in Rivers State.

When the government clamp down on such activities we blame government for taking source of livelihood from people.

Putting a stop to all these lies in our hands, stop working in illegal refineries.. stop buying illegal refineries products...

The solution to our problems lies in our hands..

But will we agree

Please I plead with the Governor of Rivers State and those concerned to put a stop in this black soot people inhale every time, this calls for an Emergency.

Black Soot Increasing Infertility In Men In Rivers State

Public health expert, Dr. Dienye Briggs, has raised the alarm over the rise in infertility in men residing in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital due to high concentration of soot in the city’s atmosphere.

Dr. Briggs, who disclosed this last Friday while speaking at the ‘Stop The Soot’ Conference, organised by the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Eco, said the alarm followed a recent research carried out at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital.

It is completely carcinogenic with materials like : arsenic, cadmium, and chromium.

In fact, the whole populace of that place should just consider themselves smokers.

They're all dying slowly yet they cannot stage a protest or revolution? If even physical death is not enough to make black slackers from the southern part of the zoo this lackadaisacal and fearful not to fight for even a clean atmosphere, are these the same that will fight invasion of terrorism or even a British recolonization.

Blacks are a disgrace to themselves. Like Kanu says all they do is "complain, whine, complain, whine... then do nothing".

Exactly. And everyone ranging from the militants, ex militants, police, army, navy and local politicians are heavily in on it, raking in millions of naira. Na why e dey hard wike to stop am. He's almost powerless. It will take a lot to put an end to this

The northern dominated military govt foresaw the need to alienate ethnic groups from the SS from Igbos for this reason.
FG needed to milk the SS until it dries up or become useless. FG also knew it would be a difficult task if SS and the main Igbo body are united.
Now, what has the SS benefited from almost single handedly shouldering the financial burden of Nigeria for over 50years?

Last time I was in PH I was surprised that this soot news wasn't on the Hardline of all news station.

Just take your bathe step out on freshly mopped tiles before you go a few steps the soles of your foot will be as black as that of a mechanic.
