Marriage can be far lonelier than being alone. Imagine being bound to someone for the rest of your life who takes little interest in you, doesn't want to touch you, works 100 hours a week, wants nothing out of life but more time for Candy Crush, etc. Marriage is, for the most part, a bait and switch. The romance of a shared life, the pretty dresses, the flowers, the prime rib and the grand Caribbean cruise are all designed to goad you into joining the "club," and then guilt you into staying when the loneliness hits (and it will.)

So, do yourself a favor. If you're afraid of being alone, stay close to your original family where you were born , form strong bonds with friends. Find a career and/or life purpose that gives you hope, that gives you a reason to spring out of bed every morning. Don't get married to fend of loneliness. You will regret it.
