I would want two or three scrimmages before the actual tournament, with Ndidi, Nwakali and Aribo as the midfield three in the fashion below;

..............................Osimhen.................................
.............Dennis..................................SamChuks.....

.....................................Aribo.................................

.......................Ndidi....................Nwakali................

I would prefer a DM who could move the ball really fast to get to Nwakali , because Nwakali will be needing that assistance.

We dont Nwakali saddled with the responsibility of chasing every ball and getting involved in every tackle and block. Ndidi and Onye should be his shield while he roams freely to create play. Nwakali should be moved further up and let Onyeka occupy the CM position. We certainly need a creative player in the opponents 18yrd box.

Eguavon should not nurse that fruitless idea of playing Ejuke as a 10, he will flop there.

Not much would have changed if Rohr was still in change. I would have dropped Musa and Shehu.

Invite Amoo.

Olisa Nda is a pure jewel.

I am happy Nwakali is invited for fairness and tactical prospect.
The same Olisa that played against Mexico

what a joke

My old man always used that word "murutun pafu." I believe its Hausa.

Anyways back to Nwakali discussions; something in me tells me some elements here are terrified Nwakali would start and embarrass the hateful doubters.

I for one doesn't hate or have any issue with Nwakali. I only just mentioned him today and I have high regard for him. I rate him above Iwobi and Nacho in terms of talent. I only pointed out that the dude has refused to meet up to the potential and sparkle we saw in him. And that he is not consistent with his plays. Which is an undiluted truth.

We need an AM in the team. And if Nwakali comes good, good for the team. We all here wants the team to do well irrespective of who is playing.

So all this stones of hates and blah blah blah, is immature. Cheers bro.

Ndidi doesn't really function well when played along side a player of his ilk. Soumare, Etebo comes to mind. So, I would rather Onye sat

These guys crying and trying to paint Eguavoen black because he isn't a foreigner should remember that CAF rejected his offer to alter the already submitted list. The only player added there by Eguavoen is Kelechi Nwakali as a replacement for injured Paul Onuachu, besides that, every other person you see there was selected by Rohr.

Nobody should pine eguavoen black

He did no wrong

Merry christmas house
Well speaking on the final 28 man list, I will just make a few notes
1. In the goalkeeping department ,I feel four is quite much when we all know that most will have to warm the bench .

2. In defence, apart from shehu, i think it's ok, olisa has been sparkling in SA , though am pained by the exclusion of Tyrone.

3. The midfield is still thin, like I would have dropped shehu and added Ovie there for extra creativity but I no be coachie

4. I still feel Musa and Igahlo are greasing someone's hands , they are looking for a way to relaunch their careers.
Umar is a good addition, iheanacho for me is not on merit ,simon can help with his corners like he did against SA and can be a good war horse

Anyway ,this just my take
Wish them the cup in Cameroon

They are both CM with Nwakali edging with skills , spot kicks and generally a better passing rare over Aribo. With that detail in hand , I would prefer Nwakali in AM position , strictly for creativity purpose.

However , we can experiment with your formation and see.

Of course , Iwobi won't play in my team. I would have replaced him with Amoo.

What would happen if Ndidi is benched. I has not quite cut it in GWG. Cant we start Nwakali , Onyeka and Aribo and see how they gell.

As for Ndidi, I have repeated it here , several times. Ndidi is not a natural DM , just as Etebo. Their positional awareness is questionable.

Did you know that though Nwakali has never been in the camp with these guys before, he is the undisputed best set piece taker of the whole squad? No one, I repeat no one comes close. These are some special qualities that gives a team an edge, for instance our game against Algeria, but the ABF posters in here go just dey open mouth waaaaa because dem see space to post grin

newcastle is not going anywhere, they have too much money to go down. Norwich Is gone, maybe time is now for burnley.

one question house, just in my head and Eguavon manage to win the afcon, do we still go ahead and get a foreigner for World Cup?
They should have gone for Steven Gerrard instead of this coach

Quite the contrary, Rohr gave Dessers a chance(about 5 minutes or so) and he was rightly dropped after that, not due to a bad performance in that game but lack of game time in Genk. But he has picked up ever since and he deserves to be in the squad. If Rohr was still in charge, I would criticize his ass for dropping him. This guy could be a useful sub when we need goals in injury time.

Now to your second question, bro, we all know how this country works. We can choose to deny it all we want but the truth always stands. I never said local coaches hate foreign players but you can believe what you want. Later on you'll start hearing things like 'they're not strong enough for African football, they're too fragile, Na Oyinbo Dem be, they're too arrogant, they don't know how to respect their elders, who do they think they are?' and all sorts of nonsense. Let's not even talk about egunje here.

If Musa and Shehu have been forced on Rohr, just imagine how many would be forced on a local coach. I don talk my own.

To your first statement, Dessers didn't pick up form yesterday.. He has been in form for long now, but was still ignored by Rohr.. Even after he left Genk.. Why didn't you descend on Rohr then? Why push it to Eguavon?
Your second statement is assumptous and not the fact.. Was it not under the local coaches that FB players like Ekong and Balogun became key members of the national team? Who gave Iwobi his debut? Who called up Carl Ikeme? Who took Shola Ameobi to the world cup? Please dead the argument.. you can't back it up with facts..
To your last statement, Rohr said it in one of his interviews that the NFF didn't interfere in his players selection.. You can go and look it up online... Kog45 confirmed it too.. If Musa and Shehu were forced on Rohr, then what about Simon? Was he forced to always start him? Was he forced to recall Ighalo?

And finally, all I see here is blackmail.. Some people never liked the idea of a local coach taking over the team from the start, and suddenly they have found an avenue to register their displeasure... The facts on ground says it's a Rohr list.. Eguavon just made two alterations to it..and that's Nwakali for Onuachu and Ndah for Akpogunma....

I wonder how some people expected Bassey to make the squad just like that when we haven't even seen him play for the team yet... They say na by club performance.. No be the same club performance dey get Simon his call up...him go dey play like Ekuke for the team..

Anybody that tries to attack Eguavon for not selecting Bassey is nothing but an hypocrite because Rohr himself only invited Bassey once and didn't bother to give him game time... He preferred his beloved Jamilu Collins...
