Nigerian songs are all about singing songs for quick fame and quick money,,no creativity.... someone will wakeup today and want to sing like Davido,like wizkid,like burna,,like naira Marley,,like da grin or olamide and so on and so forth,,no originality.. u have to strain ur ears to know who is singing a new song most times...

I remember those days I used to listen to American songs,,wen dmx or Ja rule is on d mic u know,, when busta rhymes is on u know,,is it Shawn Paul or shaggy,, is it Nas,, 50 cent,,R Kelly,,Nelly,,bonethugs,, Jay-Z,,Eminem,,just name it,,they all had very distinct patterns and contents,,their creativity was top notch,,,u could easily tell who was singing and they were dynamic... sometimes one could sing on woman/Love,,next he's singing about missing a loved one dat passed,,next he's singing on politics,,next he's singing on being a champion or a hero,,another time he's singing about ruling d world..unfortunately in Nigeria,, d ones dat truly have content are are least celebrated

But these days, the quality of releases from Nigerian artists has soared with talented musicians like Burnaboy, Wizkid, Olamide, Fireboy, Joeboy, Rema, Simi dominating the music industry with contents that are sellable internationally.

In particular, I find the voice of this guy, Johnny Drille, spectacularly melodious and the lyrical content of his songs insightfully rich.

(He deserves more accolades than he's getting for his songs.)

In spite of the major improvements in the quality of songs, most of the artists in the country produce songs of low quality as far as the lyrical content is concerned, with zero originality.

They're more or less noises.

A prime example is Zazoozeh currently making waves in the entertainment industry: Much ado about nothing.

Lyrics is zero; voice is zero; but the beat is okay.

In this regard, Naira Marley also deserves a mention.

Super Eagles squads have always been like this because strikers have the most agent interest and those who can sway/bribe their way into selection.

It is not uncommon in the past to see Super Eagles squads with 8 forwards. Even the Chidera Ejuke they labelled as a midfielder is a left-winger, while Kelechi Nwakali is an AM, so he's only taken Ndidi and Onyeka as DM/CM. Joe Aribo is a borderline AM. This is disgusting. Semi Ajayi should have been one of the defenders if that's the case, because he can play emergency DM.

Musa and Umar Sadiq are completely unnecessary there.

In a squad of 28 players and due to fear of Covid wipeout, the below split should be seen in the selection. This ensures that if 2 or 3 players in the same position go down with Covid, you still have at least one for each position

4 Goalkeepers

5 centrebacks

2 LBs, 2 RBs plus another one that can play both sides (Ola Aina)

6 CMs, of which 3 should be capable of playing DM

5 wing forwards of which one should be capable of playing CF (Dennis)

It is very hard to do a comeback in Nigeria. As an artist, you don't leave your fans wanting for too long because Nigerians will forget you.

She released an album in 2019, Lucid, even though the album was good, it was quickly forgotten for the aforementioned reason.
