I have serious issues with nearly every contemporary Nigerian song... Where do I even begin:

1. They literally sound the same (like all their producers attended the same moronic beat school).

2. They are highly and shockingly lyrically deficient.

3. Their videos do nothing but promote materialism, cultism, drunkenness, and complete narcissism.

In the midst of these anomalies, I will still manage to commend the following:

Tiwa Savage (she manages to put in the proper efforts)
Simi (she is a rare breath of fresh air)
Chike (he needs to watch it tho, before the system corrupts his quality)
Flavour (now and again he comes through)
Phyno (he keeps it true lyrically always)

You’ll see a lot of people coming here to call Nigerian music trash but remember Nigerian music of 2021 is different from that of 2016….with the emergence of artists like Buju, Rema, Omah lay, ayra Starr, blaqbonez and many more…the industry is now wayyyyy better

I don't like Naira Marley but I must say he did well with chi chi and Cumming. Lojay's monalisa is also great but I'd go with either of Too correct by Rema, and Pronto by Ajebo hustlers.
