The police have arrested the 2019 governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), Uche Nwosu.

Nwosu, a son-in-law to former Imo Governor, Rochas Okorocha, was picked up on Sunday.

It was initially thought that the politician was kidnapped by armed men.

In a statement, Imo Police Command Public Relations Officer, Michael Abattam, confirmed Nwosu was in custody.

The Chief Superintendent said the announcement was to allay fears about his Nwosu’s whereabouts.

Abattam further appealed to the general public “to always shun fake news”. grin

DAILY POST gathered that the one time Chief of Staff to Okorocha was arrested in connection with a case being probed.

Glad they came out to diffuse the fear/ tension. They should mean better ways to arrest a suspect than creating panics.

If he's got hand behind the insecurities in the south east, then he should be made to face the law.

That kind of arrest, putting someone inside the car boot. Hope uzodinma is forgetting that one day he will leave office.. Even though I don't pity Uche and his Father inlaw Rochas. They all contributed in bringing suffering to Igbo land

Police desecrating the house of God to arrest Uche Nwosu.
Sign of Nigeria becoming a new country.

Islamists from north of Nigeria just warned that churches be closed for 3 months from December 2021.
